Game Thread W2 - Detroit V Chicago (1 Viewer)

you know without all these penalties, this would be a very different game. Kitna and Furrey are both playing really well - as is Roy.
you forgot the 2 turnovers.
The penalties have hurt just as bad and killed any attempt at a drive in the first half. they had a few big plays called back and otherwise shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. That drive was excellent, and i bet Marinelli ripped them a new one at halftime. Furrey should be a good pick up in PPR leagues, he catches most everything and can hold on after taking a hit.

You are right. Bears defense hasn't done much and the Bears offense has been pretty lucky.

 where did I say that the bears were lucky? The lions played like #### in the 1st half and killed any chances of scoring with stupid penalties and turnovers. That's not a subjective take on it, it's a fact.

OK :lmao:

In all seriousness:

How is it possible, that with different coaches and different players, the Lions continue to commit ####### penalties at crucial times year in and year out? It's actually pretty mindboggling to consider.

Why is the Chicago running game so poor this year? Last season it was one of their strengths but they can barely keep a 3 ypc average so far this season...

I know it's the Pack and the Lions so far, but I'm sorry...if the Bears can keep up this level of offensive production--paired with that defense--they'll be very hard to beat this year.

Hey guys...especially Lion fans. I didn't get to catch the game so I could use some help. Obviously the Lions won, duh...but how close to 40 points did they get considering they almost scored that last week. TIA
Ask Roy Willams, he's in the stupid prediction business. :hot:

He's still running his mouth after the game. He said the Bears D isn't that good and they drove the ball all day with ease. The only thing stopping them were penaties backing them up, in his words "40,60,80 yards". I do not remember any penaties on the offense for that many yards. I guess getting 200+ passing yards (with over half coming against prevent D in the 2nd half) constitutes "moving it up and down all day with ease". What a tool.
