Game Thread - Wildcard - Pittsburgh V Cincinnati (2 Viewers)

Okay Deltha, you made a nice hit, you don't have to draw attention to yourself.  Man I can't stand showboating.  Slapping high five with your teamates, or screaming are alright, but doing a crawl, or making snow angels are just embarrasing.
It's one thing after a tackle at midfield...Equating that to a Steve Smith TD celebration is not even close....
Why not? (by thw way I am not going to comment again, no need to hijack this thread.) It shows a lack of respect to your opponent and individualizes a player in a team sport. Both are embarrassing. Give me a Barry Sanders flip to the ref after a td, that is all class.
Barry Sanders was a terrible leader, and not surprisingly he never had much team success. I'll take a loud showboat like Ray Lewis, whom every single one of his teamates would say that he helped motivate them like no other, over a quiet guy who inspires nobody.
This is one of the most idiotic statements made by any human at any time in the history of man.
why? Do you really think any NFL team would rather have their leader behave like Barry over Ray? Theres no way....every team would love to have a leader like Ray Lewis...or Chad Johnson.
Ray Lewis would not motivate me in any way shape or form.
If you say that to his face he just might (allegedly) kill you and then blame his friends.

I love how Bettis is bent over gasping for air after a one yard run and then a run to the sideline
Hey, he has asthma. And he's old and fat. I can relate. I get winded walking to the fridge for a beer.

Yes, I think there are teams that would want Barry Sanders as their leader over Ray Lewis. You can't make a blanket statement and expect it to be true for every situation - different things motivate people and I don't think I am alone in saying that Ray Lewis would not motivate me in any way shape or form. Sanders work eithic, passion for the game, competitive fire and character on the field would certainly inspire me.
I have never heard a teamate say anything except positive things about Ray Lewis as a leader. And honestly, if he couldn't motivate you, then you're not human. Conversely, I've heard many times people saying that Sanders needed to be more vocal of a leader(most of the time when comparing him to Emmitt), and I have rarely heard anyone call him a good leader.

:Hijack:Dear Coors,Your commercials suck only slightly less than the urine in your cans. Please kill your ad exec and entire marketing department immediately. TIA.:End Hijack:

I'm pretty sure Palmer always wears the knee brace on his left (forward) leg like Manning for exactly this reason. Probably helped keep it from being worse than it would have been.

Also, Houshmandzadeh is going to get punk'd if he doesn't shut up and play. I doubt any of those players and fans forget him shining his cleats with the yellow towel. He's the opposite of Chad Johnson. Where Johnson is funny, Houshmanzadeh just seems like a punk.

J
Wow you're calling out- Housh-man. You've got some nerve.........

That would require effort.

if he tore his ACL can he be ready for the start of the 2006 season. QBs do not have to run alot like RBs

Maybe but they're going to want to make sure that he's fully healed so he doesn't reinjure it. They're saying multiple ligaments torn.

Yep.Downgrade Chad, severe downgrade to Housh...severe downgrade to Rudi...all for 2006.

That does suck.

Radio guys just said "word" is...torn ACL.  Possible MCL, as well... :(
Yipe. Now trade me your first rounder. NOW.
Forces them to sign Kitna who is a free agent, and probably go after another established backup. This is all after giving Palmer a ton of jack. Welcome to salary cap hades...

Bang bang play. Looks like a catch and fumble to me. Gonna be hard to have that one overturned.

Have you ever played football?

Think Chad might have given himself away with his reaction after the play - just walked back towards the original line of scrimmage.
