Game Thread - Wildcard - Pittsburgh V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Bang bang play. Looks like a catch and fumble to me. Gonna be hard to have that one overturned.
That's what I saw, but I couldn't be sure.Either way, it's going to be hard to overrule what was on the field.

This is pretty sick that the Steelers are struggling vs. the same Kitna that threw 2 ints last week vs. the Chiefs.
The Bengals, as a team, did not even try to win that game. Many a starter were pulled or played sparingly. Kitna is definately not Palmer, but he did not get much help last week. Thus, the performance of him and the team as a whole. He is definately a better QB than his last week's performance.

if he tore his ACL can he be ready for the start of the 2006 season. QBs do not have to run alot like RBs
Maybe but they're going to want to make sure that he's fully healed so he doesn't reinjure it. They're saying multiple ligaments torn.
Yep.Downgrade Chad, severe downgrade to Housh...severe downgrade to Rudi...all for 2006.

(before you post the icon, yes, I am)
You would think the recovery time would not be as long for a passing QB like Palmer versus a RB because they rely on their arm and the RB relies on his legs. But I am no Doctor.

blatant push on townsend....this is awful. and, no i'm not even remotely a bengals fan, just don't like to see one team getting screwed like cincy is.

I wouldn't know, I was watching the guy trying to catch the ball. lol @ him even considering giving the ref a hard time.

Thats a bad call. He caught the ball and it was knocked out.

BAD CALL!!
His second foot hit...part of the rule checked off...Then, he had to make a move...he turned halfway (halfway through the move), then the ball came out.

Incomplete pass. Plain and simple.

still need to plant to throw, tough with torn ligament

No allegiance in this game at all. This may be one of the poorest officiated games I have seen in a long time.

turning 1/2 way is a move, no?

I think Kitna's an UFA. Palmer injury = more money for him. If anyone deserves a few extra $, it's Kitna (who had a near Pro Bowl year in 2003 and didn't #####/moan when they went to Carson off the bat in 2004).Looking around the league however, I find it hard that the Bengals will get the $$ that someone will give him to start elsewhere.

To me, a football move is a move, not a half move.Seems to be enforced that way every time I see it...(but, I can only specifically remember about 2 or 3 instances).

Like usual, I could be wrong, but I really don't think so here.

:lmao: :lmao: He caught the ball. Both feet were down. He turned up field and tucked the ball away. He was not in the process of tucking it away. The defended punched the ball out. To me, that is a football move. Bad call.

Kitna's performance is reminding me a lot of the way Bledsoe played in the 2001 AFCC. He looks really sharp, and you wouldn't expect him to be given that he probably didn't get a lot of reps in practice. He's avoiding the rush and hitting guys in stride.
