I have absolutely no (POST ROCKIN', MONEY LAUNDERIN', PET SOUNDSIN') idea what I'll do with those categories tomorrow.

So many songs I wanted to take for Guitar Hero that have already been taken. Yeah there are times when the new categories come up when I’m bummed perfect picks are on other playlists already. So many songs I wanted to take for Guitar Hero that have already been taken.
Bleh. I don't like the ones that just have a word involved. Won't lead to a cohesive mix.One of the five above will go into the 970-986 slot and the remaining four will move into the replacement pool
Beat This -- songs with Beat(s) in the title or lyrics
Well, I did propose the idea of song shuffling, but that would probably be a major headache.Yeah there are times when the new categories come up when I’m bummed perfect picks are on other playlists already.
Monday regular rolls
The Man in Black (Johnny Cash) - NEW
The Morning Zoo (Songs about animals) - NEW
Shut Up N Play Yer Guitar (Rock Instrumentals) - NEW
@krista4I thought Deep Tracks was still in the Last Chance saloon but it left a while ago, so I'll do another d1000 roll.
Turn Down the Lights (Instrumental Movie Music)
As far as I can gather from the rolls, yes. Thanks, KP. The movie one is "last chance," right?
Three new categories and one last chance, then. Gonna be some tough choices for everyone to make!As far as I can gather from the rolls, yes.
I saw Wreckless Eric play a solo show around 2018 or so. I expected him to bash out his old songs on acoustic guitar which he did but he also played some amazing effects-heavy skronk on his electric.Round 248.xx
Category: Poptopia (Power Pop)
Song: Whole Wide World
Artist: Wreckless Eric
Used to listen to this quite a lot back in the late aughts. Even saw Wreckless Eric in concert. Yes, he played the "hit." Fun was had by all hundred of us.
No, there is no last chance channel on Monday. The Elimination Chamber is empty at the moment. As far as I can gather from the rolls, yes. Thanks, KP. The movie one is "last chance," right?
@krista4 - I gave you wrong info...No, there is no last chance channel on Monday. The Elimination Chamber is empty at the moment.
It's the fourth roll for Instrumental Movie Music. Other non-original channels that have been up four times are Hank's Country Rock, Synth Smorg and International No Boogaloo.NM - that means yes, it's a channel, but no - it's not TDtL's last chance?
Is this just about animals, have animals in the title, or either? The Morning Zoo (Songs about animals) - NEW
No vegetables or minerals allowed. Is this just about animals, have animals in the title, or either?
Given how we tend to do things, the thinnest of animal connections should suffice.KarmaPolice said:Is this just about animals, have animals in the title, or either?
What about mythological creatures like dragons or unicorns and such?Eephus said:No vegetables or minerals allowed.
OK unless they're by Rush. What about mythological creatures like dragons or unicorns and such?
you mean komodo dragons and narwhals? What about mythological creatures like dragons or unicorns and such?
Very cool. I saw him at Cafe Nine in New Haven, CT, where I used to live for a stretch of time. I pretty much hung out there at least once every week, if not twice or thrice. He played with Amy Rigby that tour of his. I do remember more electric than acoustic, but who was I to say at that point, really? It's a vague memory from twelve years or so ago. I remember the club, not so much the show. It was a good, raucous time, though.Eephus said:I saw Wreckless Eric play a solo show around 2018 or so. We'll just need to keep in mind that there won't be many retirements for a while, so the retirement tracking post will seem kind of static for a bit.Eephus said:It's the fourth roll for Instrumental Movie Music. I think we should give them five times through (four if the mix is over three hours) before putting them up for possible retirement.
Sure?
Did you see my Keyboard Warriors suggestion?
Keyboard Warriors has spent a month in Dayton.Yeah, it's already in the lounge in Dayton.
We seem to have joined the Psychic Friends. I was going to take the Collins brothers and the Young brothers. It was a fine line.KarmaPolice said:I've had this in mind for the next Geology 101 roll, but I love it for this too. Plus they have about 50 other songs with "rock" in the title anyway.
GUITAR HERO

If you can barbeque them, they should be good to go.KarmaPolice said:Is this just about animals, have animals in the title, or either?
Here's the playlist Guitar HeroFeaturing... playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0D00ZE8ypkWfev4FG1JAFt
Guitar Hero strikes me as one that will get a ton of picks every time it's rolled, so it's probably best if someone who can make their playlists collaborative takes it.
I didn't hear any mention of an animal, what's the connection?MORNING ZOO
249.xx: OLD 97'S - MURDER (OR A HEART ATTACK)
Link
And the hole in the screen is barely big enough for you
And not near enough for me to go
And the whole damn complicated
Situation could've been avoided if I'd only shut the window
And I may be leavin' myself open
To a murder or a heart attack
But I'm leavin' the back door open
'Til you come back, 'til you come back
Hi All, can someone add this into the playlist, didn't seem to make it in there... thanks!Pick 240 - 1900-1950 - Boogie Woogie Bugle Fan - The Andrew Sisters
That's why I posted the lyrics - it's a little ditty about a missing kitty.I didn't hear any mention of an animal, what's the connection?
Ahh. I listened and read the full lyrics and didn't pick up on thatThat's why I posted the lyrics - it's a little ditty about a missing kitty.
