Mister CIA
Footballguy
It just dawned on me that I became a Ten Years After fan ten years after they started recording. Approximately.
I have a question. Was The Jimi Hendrix Experience ineligible in the US draft?
Respectively, #2, #80 and #21 on my Beatles rankings.
1. Last year. https://forums.footballguys.com/thr...nd-173-to-1-countdown-from-1-64-lists.803245/. 71 of us submitted our top 25. After those composite rankings were revealed, some of us submitted lists of 64 and those composite rankings were posted to see if things differed any.Respectively, #2, #80 and #21 on my Beatles rankings.
1. When was this countdown?
2. Yesterday is *80th* on your Beatles rankings? EIGHTIETH?

@DrIanMalcolm This is actually a different countdown -- the one Krista did herself in 2019. Didn't involve formal ranking by anyone else. Both threads are very much worth reading if you have the time. You're in for a treat.Respectively, #2, #80 and #21 on my Beatles rankings.

Awesome song. Starts off interesting and thenAnd in the time honored tradition of Spotify, "Time Honoured Tradition" by the Kaiser Chiefs and one of my last twenty-five out is now greyed out on Spotify. No listening. :(
I love In Your Eyes but... From time to time I hear that rhythmic upper range bell sound a bit too much and find it kinda annoying.

I really cannot believe that this isn't MY song since it didn't appear first. But just remember I RANKED IT HIGHER!*
@New Binky the Doormat LOWER!
Dr. Octopus did a Stones countdown https://forums.footballguys.com/thr...-four-musketeers-get-their-ya-yas-out.775791/, as Krista had done with the Beatles before (and I did with Neil Young later -- you saw the Facebook version of that). You're in for a treat.Respectively, #2, #80 and #21 on my Beatles rankings.

How can the wind with its arms all around me?!!?!?
I sure hope the party was like this one.Our class song was Good Times Roll from The Cars. The prom song was Separate Ways by Journey. I only remember a few things about the prom. I remember slow dancing to the song Truly by Lionel Richie with my prom date, and he started singing it in my ear.I think that's different - the prom has a "theme" and a signature song based on that theme. Maybe it's in my Yearbook somewhere.I also didn’t go to my prom, so that’s maybe when it was announced.
I can go back and check and also see Resident Octopus when he was young a beautiful and more importantly had a LOT of hair.I hated wearing the prom dress. It was like some ballroom gown, and that corsage my prom date gave me took up half my arm. I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could put on my street clothes, and go to the after party with everyone.

I wish. Class of '77.Class songs must have started in the 80s![]()
Buy the concept album. It's really good. The dude playing Simon the Zealot is outstanding.Whoa, that Roots Manuva song made me feel like I was having a seizure. (Not an insult - it held my interest.)
so Roots Manuva is your "Mary Hart"?
I don't know?
Not a lot of new-to-me songs today. My favorites were from the Ee family with the Prefab Sprout and Karen Harding songs, cos's Jeff Beck selection, and Val's "Superstar," which was a shockingly fabulous version of the song.
That is fabulous! I'm gonna check them out.Introduce her to this version: S.O.S.
Just came home to my daughter listening to ABBA's SOS while playing her toy piano and singing along.
Doves' "There Goes The Fear" There's definitely a tension and release
I’d love to be involved in any sort of covers draft, Beatles covers in particular are almost as rewarding as the original workDr.

Anarchy99 (not a participant in the current exercises) last year ran a Zeppelin vote/countdown in kind of the same format as these ones. https://forums.footballguys.com/thr...evee-breaks-from-led-zeppelin-iv-1971.802661/
Dunno if a Stevie, Bruce or Beatles covers exercise has been done. Before the pandemic I mostly stuck to the Shark Pool and didn't come to the FFA much. Others would have a better idea.
Yes - this was my big find from this playlist as well. Never heard of the band or song, but will check them out more.Doves' "There Goes The Fear" is very cool.
On tour with Joan Jett this year. Maybe I'll go see him for a THIRD time!Just confirmed with some Bros from high school (1987) - our "class song" was from Canadian Power House - Glass Tiger

Enjoyed that one too. I was just looking up their Wikipedia page, and it lists Rupert Grint (aka Ron Weasley) as a band member from 2001-2005 on drums/vocals. That’s got to be someone just messing with Wikipedia, right?Yes - this was my big find from this playlist as well. I noticed that too. There’s no mention of it on any other Doves or Grint page, so I’m guessing it’s a joke.Enjoyed that one too. Graduated in 1977 and don't remember any ****ing school song.
We were too stoned.
Yeah, and Grint would have been 13 in 2001 too.I noticed that too. There’s no mention of it on any other Doves or Grint page, so I’m guessing it’s a joke.Enjoyed that one too. No power is the suck.My power has been out for nearly three hours and is still predicted to be out a few more hours.Good chance I won’t be able to do the day-before prep I usually would, so good chance I won’t post in timely fashion tomorrow.
