GMen/Cowboy owners, beware of weather Sunday! (1 Viewer)

I'm rolling with Eli. Wind gusts be damned. Plus the wind conditions inside the Meadowlands may not be as bad as outside. I could see some short patterns to Cruz going the distance. The Cowboys pass D is horrific.

The forecast going into the game was wind and rain. Trust me, almost every time they warn about the weather it turns into a high scoring game. It's like a weird reverse lock or something.
It's like confirmation bias. Works in both directions.

Live right between Detroit and Toronto....we have got a foot and a half of snow over the last 24 hours. Storm is continuing East.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM SUNDAY TO 1 AM EST MONDAY.

* LOCATION...ALL OF MASSACHUSETTS...ALL OF RHODE ISLAND...NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...AS WELL AS CHESHIRE AND HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.

... A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE 31 TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 AND 57 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG ARE CAPABLE OF DOWNING SMALL TREE LIMBS

I need upside today. This wind and cold doesn't help.

Need 3 TDs from Romo understanding my opponent's matchups. Just don't see it. And I already have A. Brown and D. Murray starting with no other options.

Can't picture this being a high flying affair on the scoreboard. NYG are going to pound A. Brown, be physical, control the clock.

Definitely considering C. Keenum over T. Romo today.

You guys are crazy. Meadowlands winds are like no other. I've seen wind gusts up to 45 mph! Good luck starting these guys. You're going to see a ton of Murray/Brown.

How about the pats-broncos tonight? Are gronk and Vereen still good plays? Seems like they run short to intermediate routes mostly and I think Brady can handle that in the wind

yes its windy but this is football weather.these guys are used to it. i wouldnt back off anyone..it should be a game with plenty of fantasy pts to go around.

In all honesty, I would use wunderground.com I worked for a military weather agency and the site we used for comparative testing was wunderground. Not saying the others aren't good, that is just the one I trust.

It does appear to slow down around 6 pm so could be only the 1st half affected. If this game were at 1 pm forget about it. The late start might be better playing conditions which is rare this time of yr

New Yorkers who are currently there and not actually in Tucson, sound off on the weather please if you can.
its absolutely freezing outside and only a little breezy. I wouldnt consider benching a single player for this weather. Once again this thread is a waste of everyones time

Only person worth even the thought of sitting is maybe Bailey. If I was able to throw passes this morning then I'm pretty sure professionals can.

I'm a local

Very gusty around here on Long Island, but it's not exactly hard pushing winds continually. Maybe you go a different direction for kicker or something, but unless you have two players who are all but tied in your mind, I don't see this as anything too alarming.

If you downgrade anything, it's the number of errands and honey-dos that will get done today - for november, its cold a a witches ### (which apparently are pretty cold)

Guessing you've never been there.

Checking in from NY

its cold, and pretty gusty. Clear skies though.

Looks like perfect football weather to me. Don't let this impact any decisions... you will regret it.

The New York guys are ... The guys that play in a dome in Texas? Not so much.

20 plus mile an hour winds and wind chills in the teens ... this favors the Giants big time.

29 degrees, 11% chance of rain, wind 15 mph (wunderground.com)

Partly cloudy, 30% chance of snow flurries, winds 15-25 mph (vegasinsider.com)

31 degrees, 10% chance of precipitations, winds 23 mph (weather.com)

These forecasts don't impact my lineup decisions. Any others that look worse?

I don't know what other NYer's are talking about, but it's WINDY as hell here. I don't know how far they are from the stadium, but I'm 45 minutes like I said and you can hear the wind swirling from outside. Chances are I have to find my stupid trash cans again.

I think you're just mad about having to chase those trash cans lol

You should have benched your trash cans due to the weather and you wouldn't have this problem.

I'm definitely benching your trashcans. And I suppose it's good that the Cowboys and Giants aren't playing in your driveway.

Keep in mind that these forecasts are for sustained winds at that speed. If you look at the National Weather Service site, the sustained winds are in this range but they also are forecasting wind gusts for over 40 MPH. Also, when I looked at wunderground, they had winds of 23mph for 4PM today.

According to wunderground, and their game specific forecast http://www.wunderground.com/sports/NFL/hometeam/New_York:Giants.html?st=1385313900&MR=1,18 mph winds at 4pm and 10 mph at 8pm.

Will there be gusts at times? I think so, but there's a big difference between the conditions now (11:30 am) in New York and the forecast from 4:30 to 7:30 pm

So winds are forecasted to diminish later on? If that's the case, Romo stays in the lineup.

Definitely very windy here in NYC, and keep in mind that wind is often an issue at the stadium even in calmer conditions.

Is the weather enough of a potential issue to consider another alternative with a more favorable matchup? I assume most of you using this thread don't have much of a plan B. At least that's the impression I get.

Really, really windy right now. I am about 12 miles from stadium. Windy conditions and wind gusts are for real. Lots of 4th down plays today.

Keenum is the other option I'm considering.
