Great. An internet argument with strangers alerts me to the fact that my insurance agent and I need to have an hour-long conversation about the fact that my coverage is all screwed up. I'll be embarrassed about that for about ten years.

I fixate on these things. I will never allow myself to live this down.
stay strong, gb.

and I say that jokingly and completely seriously.
Haha and thanks?

Out of curiosity, are you TX people in here Rangers or Astros fans?

I'm thinking of buying WS tickets right now in the event the Cubs make it, but will not be buying in Chicago where the current getting-in-the-door price is $2400 per ticket.

Take your pick, I think. Cos and Ig and I are Astros fans, bentley (and Uni and Stu, I think) are Rangers fans.

I'm asking this way later than I should have, but anyone seen Captain Q lately? I know a few here are FB friends with him, and I'd like to know that he's doing all right.

Bogart also a Rangers fan. Abe on Team Disastros.

 In our house we are Astros fans when it comes to the AL.

Basically all of the handsome, successful and intelligent people love the Rangers and the dull slobs enjoy Houston baseball.

In-the-door price for the World Series for the four American league teams is between $450-550 right now. As mentioned, Cubs are $2400. Freaking insane.

That's nuts. ALCS tix through Astros box office are $150-200 so kind of surprised the AL ones are that "cheap" on the secondary market.

Is there a box office price for WS tix for Astros? In any case, I am surprised they're so little, too.

Not yet, but just projecting forward, they've raised the price about 50% each round so I'd put them at ~$250 - 300 face if it gets to the WS.

Wow. That's not much markup right now on StubHub.

I bought tix for all four AL teams, Game 1. :bag: I figure three will be refunded, and the fourth I'll either use or resell.

Edit: I'm a moron. Houston is actually $670 in the door, the most expensive in-the-door ticket in the AL.

There's still an April Vegas trip right? :oldunsure:
Assuming the blackout on vacation time is lifted at the end of the month as planned, I am definitely going Jan 7-12. I am efforting some of the degenerates from the Wagering Thread. You knobs are also welcome.

With apologies to the Rangers fans, I'm kind of glad that, if the Cubs make it, I won't have to go to Arlington. Desire to visit the AL final four cities in order:

Toronto

Houston

Kansas City

Arlington

Just received this email:

"As in the previous few years, the Cathcarts will host a wine tasting to select wines for this years Change of Watch. We would like to invite all hardworking Change of Watch Committee chairpersons to participate in this event and help select the liquid libations that will be served with dinner. Please bring your spouse and an appetizer to share."

Didn't realize I'd moved into SLB's neighborhood. :excited:
