Good. That would mean they weren't "killed". How does it feel to miss Snooki's point, Professor?Unless they die in the tank (and you get them at a steep discount).
Damn good.

Your inspector didn't find this?mr roboto said:Just found out my house I bought in Oct has moisture inside the vaulted ceilings and black mold. Isn't the shark move here to just over-tip and assume she did it on porpoise? I had two small beers with my French Dip and when I got the bill, noticed the gal only charged me for one beer. Not sure what came over me, but I pointed this out to her. She thanked me for my honesty and re-ran the check. Hoping this turn in good karma comes back to visit in a nice way soon.
I thought you were referring to the candid of that dude smelling King Felix's gas.Getting people's hopes up about the Mariners. And simultaneously giving them the SI jinx.
I refuse to get sucked in, primarily because it is baseball, but also because I have seen this movie before.

LMK when you have an epiphany on the solution to this, because this has been my life for 20 years (i.e., working 55-75 hour weeks.) Granted I have a flex schedule that allows me to pickup Chloe from Afterschool & I get home in time to make dinner, but I'm getting up at 4 a.m. most days. It's a bit of a grind but it's all I've ever known.I just realized exactly why my desk is such a disgusting mess.
I eat two meals a day here, and I've been staying later than the cleaning lady who comes in after work- so she can't clean up my spot.
long ago, I grew to the point where I worked smarter than this... not having to do so many late nights. or maybe I grew into stupidity. or maybe, growing is for trees. whatever. I used to work these kind of hours and more in my 20s and early 30s. but I am completely fried- and this one damn project I just can't seem to catch a break on. :tinyviolins:
I really want to start playing soccer again.Oh hey, I forgot to mention that I played in a real genuine lacrosse game the other day for my new 35+ team. We are playing teams in a lower division (than most of us used to play), but against guys that are in some cases 20+ years younger than us. Half of our goals were scored by guys who are 50+ and we won.
And most important, I didn't die.

Depending on which show it is a lot of those flipping shows script over the top scenarios on top of relatively minor things to make it more dramaticMan, people can be real jerks. Was watching this house flipping show on HGTV and the couple the show is about bought a nice looking house for $425,000 on a sheriff's sale. It was the type of sale where you buy the house after only being able to see it from the outside (or street if there is a fence).
When they got in, they found that the previous owners had totally destroyed the inside. They had put holes in the drywall, smeared feces on the carpet, broke every window, took a hammer to the wood floors and poured concrete in all the drains.
I understand being upset at losing your house, but that is seriously screwed up to trash the house like that on that way out.
Heavy drinking, bad carbs, gluten and other high glycemic goo is a more likely culprit.Kev, et al: there was conversation about A1C recently. Any tips on reducing? Romo is a solid pre-diabetic 6.1 and he's freaking out. He likes his sweets, etc., but not enough to put him there IMO.
I can see I haven't missed much. That poo did not go at all as planned.![]()
He doesn't drink but the other stuff could be a factor. Gluten is a protein. Fast-burning carbs are the enemy. Breads, pasta, stuff like that. The carbs in vegetables and legumes burn slower, and usually come with fiber, which also blunt the glycemic impact.Heavy drinking, bad carbs, gluten and other high glycemic goo is a more likely culprit.Kev, et al: there was conversation about A1C recently. Fair point though I find that most of the gluten I get is from fast carb stuff and I have some celiac type problems and take medicine for it.Gluten is a protein. Fast-burning carbs are the enemy. Considering he's not really overweight from what I've seen, it could just be metabolic disorder which is what I have. Has he had his Thyroid levels checked? How are his Triglycerides? There's a supplement called Cinsulin that supposedly can help a bit. I've been taking it for a while now and am interested to see if it had any impact.Kev, et al: there was conversation about A1C recently. Any tips on reducing? I can confirm that the slap checks, slashes and body checks that use to not bother me at all as recently as my late-30s now actually hurt. And the residual soreness...it's an issue.i gave up hockey and baseball at 35 because I was tired of something always hurtingI really want to start playing soccer again.Oh hey, I forgot to mention that I played in a real genuine lacrosse game the other day for my new 35+ team. Vaulted ceilings. So no attic to look into. Just roof, joists then drywall ceiling. Improper ventilation coupled with older model recessed lights that weren't airtight. Basically warm air got into the roof cavity through the can lights, condensed against the cold roof decking. Warm weather melts the condensation, then it's water flowing inside the roof rafter bays. The parts of the house with accessible attics were clean and dry. No inspector is going to tear out drywall to look between the framing.Your inspector didn't find this?I had the same problem in my house, my inspector found it and we made them pay for fixing it.mr roboto said:Just found out my house I bought in Oct has moisture inside the vaulted ceilings and black mold. 24 year old is single again. Going out next Thursday.
Whoever sacrificed a goat for me, thanks.
As an update to my text, "I'll make love to you" is still a panty dropper. AngryWife and PR chick unfortunately didn't start making out during the song.My company has a big announcement coming in the Wall Street journal tomorrow. I'll link when it shows up. And I'm about to close the biggest account we've ever had. And I get four days in San diego this weekend. Things are better than they were two years ago when I documented the rapid deterioration of my life on the OLD GMTAN thread.
Enjoy the night.
omg I ate at El Matador in Utah today!I'll be at matador in west seattle thursday.
