GM's thread about nothing (37 Viewers)

I hear those special brownies and their main ingredient help improve night time vision.

Night vision goggles = not necessarily necessary

   I think I told you guys about taking my sons to the dentist a few weeks back. One of the ladies called me back to talk to her about a pre-orthodontal metal rod for my youngest son and spent about 5 minutes explaining to me what it is, what it does, what it looks like, how it'll feel....and all I wanted to say to her was "Shut up and tell me how much this will cost me". Just give me the damn price first.

I don't think I've spent more than $50 for a pair of shoes for myself* in years. Nike Employee Store Discounts have been my saving grace.

My ex-wife bought me two pairs of Doc Martins, so I'm sure she spent more than $50 on them for me. Man, I wish I still had those shoes. Bet my dad would still have them.

I'm no offdee by any means, but they've got a great deal going on Kenneth Cole wool jackets for the next 24 hours: http://www.todayshow-kennethcole.com/#/?page=main

code = TODAYCOAT
My god am I ever behind on fashion.
:lmao: :lmao: Me too. I ordered 2. Mrs. SLB has been on me for a while to get some new coats.ETA

Thanks TF!
Really cold today. WHERE MY COATS??!!

:lmao: Poor sentence structure there...My dad had on a pair of shoes last week from 1964. They looked brand new. I was pretty impressed.I wear shoes until they look like something a civil war soldier would have on his feet. I don't have many pairs in my daily rotation, either. Not having to dress nice to work has been pretty sweet.

$57 elsewhere on the interwebs...I'm seriously considering it.
These would be cooler.

GMTAN Secret Santa Shtick Exchange

PM me your address if interested.* I'll take PMs until midnight CST Friday, 12/2. I'll randomize the names and match each participant with a Secret Santa and send them out.

So that it is affordable for everyone we'll limit gifts to the $25-$50 range, including shipping. Please try to ship gifts to arrive in time for Christmas, say by 12/18. That should give you 2 weeks to find your gift(s) and a week for shipping.

Shtick it up, folks.

*Personal information will be kept strictly confidential and only given to your Secret Santa.
As to the bold, I assume that if we have something that we didn't pay for, but it has a definite monetary value, we don't have to include that value in our gift-giving limit?Sorry. Lawyer.

Some of you guys should probably join the army. Lots of neat novelty toys to play with there. And I think you get paid.
Maybe some of us didn't have toys as a kid. I bet you feel like a big man now don't you.

You're ok Bob :hifive: Krista and Thorn> Let me know what it is that you already have and I will get an average price between eBay, Amazon and your hometown Craigslist. That average is what will count towards the limit. If you go over, you will be fined and the proceeds will go towards my drinking fund.

Seriously, the spirit of the limit is just so someone doesn't spend a ton of money on their SS gift and then get a keychain and naked lady pen in return. And so that those of us who don't pull in enough money to buy a Caribbean Island Resort can still participate.

I'm trying to think how night vision goggles might come in handy in my life and I really can't think of one instance where I might actually need them. Like...I don't think I've ever sat around in the dark and said to myself "man, if only I had night vision goggles right now"...why not just turn on a light?
I hate camping too.
Yeah, that's true, good point.Man, if only we could invent some sort of way to create light beams or some sort of portable device that would emanate light somehow...or perhaps we could come up with some sort of flaming apparatus that would burn bright with more fuel (like, wood or something).
You're acting like someone is saying this fills some massive need for them. I think it's more of a novelty, guy.
Quick they are on kids woot right now. Just got a pair!!! This is a present for my boys GM.
