I carry. Shantytown is not only in Memphis, but is located in one of the worst parts of Memphis. I am sometimes the first one in, last one to leave work and I also answer alarm calls at times in middle of the night.

Here in the wild west of TN ours is just a carry permit. I can walk around all Johnny Ringo style if I want to, but that seems incredibly dumb to do.

One time in my super safe suburb I heard what I thought was someone breaking into my truck outside in the middle of the night. So, like a ninja, I grabbed my gun and quietly slipped out of my townhome to take a look. Peeked around the corner and saw that it was someone's vehicle across the street. Neighbors were out and stuff checking it out as well. No one was there though and the owner just turned the alarm off and everyone went back to bed. Cool story, bro.

I know a lot of people that carry all the time down here. I'm not that scared of getting carjacked that I'd ever drive with one, hell, if someone wants to carjack me, I'm not going to get into a shoot out over a ####### car.

Oh, I know I'd like it. I shot plenty of .22's back at summer camp in Maine. From a kneeling position, I could take down a target from 50 long feet away. But now, in the wake of all this madness, somebody needs to be the John Brown of abolishing guns and by god, that John Brown is me.
