GM's thread about nothing (18 Viewers)

No joke - just pulled over at the local Harley dealership where a guy who looked exactly like Cos was standing with blood pouring out of his head. Two bikes fallen over. Woman laying on pavement with another rider stabilizing her head. Apparently they crashed in to each other as they tirned out or th dealerhip on to access road. My second auto related 911 call on two weeks.

Cos - please confirm health.

You mind if I take a guess at which rider was at fault?

Mrs. GM?

The boys and I are going to a Chuck E Cheese birthday party sans AngryWife in the morning (she's helping a friend move). This sounds like hell on earth, so I'm getting ripped tonight. The only redeeming factor is that some of the preschool moms are pretty hot. I'm sure they'll lover super-hungover bentley.

The funny part is, AngryWife would rather help a friend move than go to Chuck E. Cheese. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nothing like the sounds of Chuck E Cheese and screaming children to really give a hangover that extra POP!

In my previous reply, I went with option B. Option A was "Fixed."

I didn't get on my walk today until very late. Depressing day, cold, cloudy. As I'm walking I get a very serious call from somebody about some potentially life changing stuff and the conversation lasted over two miles. By the time we hang up, I was on the nature trail. It's not exactly in the middle of nowhere but it was in the woods. Right then a squirrel runs across the path about 20 yards in front of me. Except this wasn't any ordinary squirrel. It was brown in the face and body but it had a completely snow white tail. I mean this thing was so white if you compared it to GM you would think Forrest was one of those Nigerian marathon runners. It was really strange to say the least.

So is this a sign or something? I bought some Powerball tickets just in case.

Maybe it was the ghost of the squirrel the hawk was eating

Make sure to puke in the whack-a-mole.

Something just happened that made my brain randomly remember this David Cross bit. NSFW language, obviously. Probably not new to most here but I laughed hard again.

It's not quite like seeing an 18-point buck, but whatever floats your boat, Hiawatha.

Finally watching season premier of Mad Men...PV says it'll be a snoozer according to the interwebs.
Think I'm going to fire up season two of the ol' Wires this weekend. Think a one-week break was enough for me to regroup emotionally.
I was afraid season two was going to be a letdown after watching the first episode because it was so different from season one. I couldn't have been more wrong.

From reading here it seems to be considered the weakest season, but weakest on that show is still going to be great. And there are a few who like it the best of all of them. Eager to see.

You're one of us now. Feels good, doesn't it?

I interpreted this as meaning you should prepare your will.
Funny, I've been meaning to update it. Should probably call my lawyer Monday.

I've never seen anything like it.

Season 2 is underrated by many, imo. Some great stuff in there.
Excited for it.

OK, different subject. Planning a western road trip with my free time whilst not gainfully employed. Anyone done this type of thing? Here's my general sketch of a route--thought flying to Phoenix and starting there (I have family in Phoenix to see if you're wondering why I'd go there at all):

Memphis – Phoenix

Phoenix – Sedona

Sedona – Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon – San Diego

San Diego – Los Angeles

Los Angeles – San Francisco

(Yosemite)

San Francisco – Portland

(Redwood)

Portland – Seattle

Seattle – Vancouver

Vancouver – Missoula

Missoula – Bozeman

Bozeman – Jellystone

Jellystone – Fort Collins then Denver

Denver – Durango

Durango – Santa Fe

Santa Fe – Phoenix

What am I missing? Or what could I miss?

ETA: The places I mention don't mean that I wouldn't stop somewhere in between -- e.g., LA to SF. Just guideposts to show the route I'd take.

ETA2: I know it's not called Jellystone. I copied/pasted something I had in a Word document and forgot I had it listed that way.

I'd definitely turn towards the coast either before or after Yosemite and drive highway 1 up from Santa Barbara to Carmel and Santa Cruz, passing through Big Sur. It's an awesome drive.

Have lunch at Nepenthe on the patio in Big Sur. The view is awesome.

My original route was just straight up the coast for this (I've done that drive but it's been twenty years, I think), but then realized hitting Yosemite somehow would be good. Is it better to head over there on the north or the south part of it, and then head back? In any case, really love the restaurant recommendation. Putting that on the must-do list.

Also planning a New Orleans to Maine road trip. Just going to do the Western one first as there's more of that area I've never explored--haven't been to Oregon, Montana, Idaho before.
