Do people in Rhode Island say packy?
Yes. No joke.
:lmao:I assume Thorn does this too, being from Maine and all
"Packy" seems to be a Mass and RI thing. Also, we don't have "package stores" (i.e. liqour stores). You can buy vodka right with your groceries, as God intended.

Here in California you can buy your booze at a liquor store or grocery store or even a place like CVS/Rite Aid (maybe just beer an wine there).

Our only flaw is no alcohol sales after 2AM. None of this package store or no sales on Sunday crap.

I'm so tempted to drop the mega-spoiler for this season in the Game of Thrones non-book thread. Buncha dorks over there.
Apparently you've missed my work over there. I'm dropping faux spoilers that are sorta true, but not really. It's kinda like the Tanner shtick of spoilers - it's not true, but it's close enough to make people wonder.

ETA: The Red Wedding is coming

Not great work, but promising.

ETA II: EG is doing the same thing. :lmao:

Oh...I didn't realize we were talking about each state as a whole. I thought we were talking about alcohol sales.

How are things in Racist Traitor Land?

Ouch, LHUCKS. I was just suggesting maybe state controlled liquor stores might garner a little extra cheese for your broke ### gubmint.

Yeah I don't really get this "shtick". This kind of fishing is just incredibly douchy in my opinion.

A friend of mine from high school has had brain cancer since 2006. She's been fighting it with aplomb. She's even organized a charity golf outing. The only problem is that the logo for the golf outing is this big mass of gray matter sitting on top of a golf tee and all I can think of is someone driving the cranial goo all over the first fairway.

So you're saying that California should become more like the old Soviet Union?

If it can. Pelosi has you on the doorstep, doesn't she?

Posting "faux spoilers". Just seems like there are a lot of douchbags posting in that thread solely trying to rile up the TV watching crowd.

I'm immature enough that clicking on the facebook of a Dorothy, and then checking her friends led to giggles.

Heading is "Friends of Dorothy"

Exactly.

Well, she's packing some things and taking the kid to her parents. I have been very open discussing things the last few days and this morning was nice with her as I left for work. But something happened and she asked me to come home. She had the wedding album out on the table and was sobbing and proceeded to tear me a new one before calmly saying over and over, "well of just didn't work out....a few customers didn't pay on time so this just didn't work out."

She is a woman so she is prone to wild mood swings but I really didn't expect this when I left this morning.

I'm trying to get a gold of her mother at the moment but haven't had any luck.

Why are you yelling?

Well....remember our discussion about 'worse'. This is worse. I'm really sorry, Abe. Is she going to stay with the kid at her parents or is she coming home? Maybe you guys need a little space right now. You've hit her over the head with some very difficult information to swallow and she is probably terrified right now. She needs some comfort that you can't give her, so let her go for now.

And man, don't do what you feel in your bones you should do....start drinking heavily. Get a DUI or hit somebody while drunk and we'll see other shades of 'worse'. Be real careful.

I thought he'd hit a low with the sweater vests.

Sorry to hear the news Abe, but I do think you're taking all of the right, necessary steps to get to where you need to be.

Yeah. My panties are probably in a bunch cause I enjoy the show but haven't finished all the books yet. It's just kind of annoying that the book readers who have an entirely separate thread can't help but chime in and hint at #### from the book. Hopefully my period ends soon. I blame lack of alcohol for the grouchiness.

wtf? Seems delayed. "Packed some things" is better than "loaded up the moving van." Here's hoping she just needs a little space and time to process.

Talked to her mother. I thought it important to get out in front of that since her mother knows she can be very fragile. Asked mil to call and invite her down for a few days. I actually think having some room for a few days or a week or so wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. She is very angry with me and that isn't going away until I start getting some of her money returned.

Yeah, sort of wierd. Like we talked about I thought she was gone Monday. Then she cooled off and made some jokes and told m me if I was serious about fixing things then we could work it out. Yesterday was actually pretty normal. So was this morning. Then BOOM - complete melt down.

Was there something else that she uncovered? And really sorry to hear man, hope things work out the best for both of you going forward.
