GM's thread about nothing (26 Viewers)

B) I have a board meeting today at Paddy's Bar & Grill. Our female president emailed us all to say she was looking forward to a very refreshing "Rader" at the meeting on this incredibly hot day. A "Rader" is beer and lemonade mixed together. Never heard of that in my life. And though I'd rather drink from the toilet, I could see it being a treat for the womens and men who eat sweets for breakfast.
You don't know know people who drink Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy? I actually do drink my own piss when this is the only option.
Oh come on.

It's not that bad

Baseballguys: When do we stop sucking Derek Jeter's ####?
Two more months. Getting almost unbearable.
Tonight became unwatchable after the third inning.
The whole thing with Wainwright grooving pitches (with home-field on the line and the Cards still technically in the mix for the WS) was really awkward. "He deserved it?" "I didn't think he would hit a double?" Seems pretty condescending. And then coming on later with Erin Andrews and apologizing for/denying (???) grooving pitches to Jeter...I dunno, weird.

I think it's dumb that the winner gets WS HFA, but given that it is what it is, doesn't seem like you should help the other team out at all.
It's was Lucroys fault.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I didn't know a shandy was beer and lemonade mixed together. I also didn't know a radler was another word for a shandy. Sorry.

I'm not a big baseball guy but my kid was watching the game. I caught that part about "grooving" pitches on some postgame circle-jerk. My first thought was "why would anybody do that?". Smacks of Brett Faverah bending over for Strahan.

My wife decided she wants to go back to school to become an elementary school teacher.

Where's that shandy?

I figure you'd be happy to knock up your kid's teacher.
Oh, sure the sex will be neat. I'm not looking forward to paying the money for this endeavor, however. But, once the big teacher checks start rolling in, it'll be worth it.
How much is state college up there in Oregon? There is no reason to spend "real" money to become a teacher.

The problem is that the state colleges aren't very close to Portland. I do agree with your stance, though and we'll need to look at all the angles before she does this. She has a masters from Portland State in the lucrative field of public administration (I honestly have no idea what that means) and would like to go there if possible, but it ain't cheap.

It's an MBA for people who only spend other people's tax dollars.

I have a bottle of Ezra Brooks awaiting me at home, but I foresee some Shiner Ruby Redbirds in my future.
Have 4 sixers in my pantry as I have not been able to drink alcohol due to the medication I am on. One of my favorite summer beers and since it's perpetually summer here in Florida, it's perfect any time. 1,000 times better than Leinie's swill IMO

Ouch. Depending upon what kind of units (heh) she needs you're probably going to get hosed by National of Phoenix. Expensive but they do a good job getting you through the hoops.

Thanks, GB. I know next to nothing about what she needs and I'm sure once she even has that, getting a job will be incredibly hard. That said, I think she'd be terrific at it, her mom's been a teacher for decades and my mom taught kids with dyslexia, ADHD, etc for several years in Texas. Plenty of resources for her to use and if there was ever a year for her to go back to school, this would be it from a financial standpoint. Amaya > thanks.
