My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are two of the worst people on this planet, and when they get together with their drama, they can reach uncharted levels of toxicity. I feel pretty bad for him, as he's learning pretty late in life how manipulative they are and I think that's been a hard realization.

That sucks big time. Went through the same thing with my wife and her family. Her mom and grandmother are more manipulative than 1000 Asian kids on meth at a Rubik's Cube solving tournament. Took my wife years before she finally realize how freaking venomous they are. Good news is that she has almost no contact with them these days.

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday I have the distinct pleasure to host a karaoke show at a chain restaurant where noone sings, and people either completely ignore me, or request incredibly ####ty music for me to play all night. Tonight is the latter. Wtf is a "childish gambino?"

Do you bring your set up? Was this an idea you carried over from your college entrepreneurial days? What does it pay?

Yeah, I bring the gear. I've done it off and on for the past 15-20 yrs, whenever I need cash. The money varies depending on the gig. I'll make $85 tonight for 3.5 hours. Saturday night I'll make $100 for 3.5 hours.

Do the ladies still hit on the DJ? I would love to hear a couple of stories.

Sometimes. One night many years ago I sang "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak. When I finished, an offdee 6 came up, grabbed me by the shirt with 2 hands and said she'd blow me if I would sing it again.

Again, I know this means nothing but I'm guessing that, in terms of percentage, my IQ has probably dropped that much.
