In the case above (my post), I'd just opened a beer and turned on TVG - this horse racing channel - and a broadcaster (Frank Lyons) was talking about this first-time starter he liked who was a whopping 30-1. Kinda rare for that to happen. Besides being absolutely hilarious, he knows his #### (used to be a trainer). So basically it was a tip he got, which is way more credible than your typical "tip"...they rarely pan out. And since this was a maiden race (non-winners) and this particular horse had never run, it's as good of a tip as you're gonna get. The horse got slammed too, down to 8 - 1. Worth taking notice and something for the closet compulsives in here to throw a couple bucks on while we wait for the Finals and baseball. Or so I thought. He lost. And of course, Lyons ripped his tipster to no end, which was great.

I don't get the comment from SLBD.If it was the one with the restaurant owners (Nectar), the house they bought is actually one that Mr. Krista looked at when he went house hunting. Apparently they changed their minds! We did close on a house last week. Will post pics after we go to finish all our shopping July 4 weekend.
