Debbie Downer alert.

Ben wouldn't eat today and was sleeping the entire morning. Wife took his temp and it was high, took him to doc and it was even higher. He is now getting checked back into the hospital for a minimum of two nights for more tests.

Stay strong, Frost. Doctors are pretty damn amazing and I think lil' Ben will be just fine.

T&P Frosty. Having sick kids is horrible.

We got an e-mail from St. Louis Small Business Monthly a few minutes ago, my/our company is named top 3 in customer service in the city. We find out if we are #1 at a luncheon October 20th.I mentioned we were top 25 in another thread in the begginning of the year and I'm sure you guys were dying for an update.
I take it you don't deal with customers?
Why do you say that?
:goodposting:Football pool players, get your picks in.

where do we do that again? :shark:

Happy Birthday Krista! I hope you get to see an anaconda!
:lmao: No anacondas. We've been out of "the bush" since Tuesday (now in Cape Town), though yesterday we saw an entire series of clothing that was emblazoned with "Bush Lover". Thought long about whom to get that for but just couldn't pull the trigger.I did walk amongst some penguins on my birthday, at the tip of Africa (Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope). Damn cool stuff.
This better be like when my Mom & Dad said they couldn't afford to get me an Atari for Christmas.
Luckily I saw this and had another chance at the airport. PM me your address.

Can I still get in, or too late? I still have the e-mail.

You still have time. My address is in the e-mail isn't it?

I don't really follow FF, is this any good? PPR, Flex spot, 10 teams. Will answer yours. WR's were going for insane prices (Johnson 42, Fitzgerald 30, etc.) which is why I kind of got left out in the cold there. But I have good RB depth, at least.

Code:
Jahvid Best	$34Frank Gore	$46Hakeem Nicks	$13Tony Romo	$12Pierre Thomas	$16Malcom Floyd	$11Michael Bush	$4Marques Colston	$21C.J. Spiller	$12Pierre Garcon	$7Jason Witten	$11Reggie Bush	$9Lawrence Tynes	$1Dallas	$1Mike Williams	$1Kareem Huggins	$1
Great value on Garcon. I think he can come close to Wayne's numbers this year.

 Like I had actually read the e-mail. Is the PayPal address the e-mail address from which this was sent? Will send right now.

The groom and best man should attend the wedding shower for approximately ten minutes, at the end, to say hi to all of the ladies and say thank you and carry any presents to the car. Prior to that, they should be at the golf course closest to the event. It doesn't matter if they play golf or not.

WTF is a couples shower?
When a man and a woman wash each others naughty bits.
This is what I hoped.
WTF is a couples shower?
It's a pre-wedding celebration attended by female friends of the bride and guys with no balls.
This is what I feared.WTF did I even get invited to this thing? I'm not a couple. Some sort of auto-invite for the wedding party I guess. Dumb.

Couples Showers are pretty standard here in NOLA. I really don't see the issue, as typically they are just another party to attend and partake in free food/drink with a bunch of friends.

I'll admit the phrase "couples shower" sounds gay, but at the end of the day they're just a party.

Also, maybe my opinion is skewed b/c my wife and I have been dating since college and have the same network of friends. Even the friends that "we made on our own" are very laid back and fun to hang out with.

My auction is in about a half hour. Anything I should know?

I tried reading something about injuries and got tired-head after about three lines of what appeared to be a three thousand line document. Way more info than I needed.

We had one before our wedding and it was fun. Course, it was at a brewery and I don't care if the event is blind homosexual sweater knitting, if you can't have fun in a brewery, I don't want to know you.

Taking Thursday off of work for tailgating then the Saints Game. Flying to Vegas Friday morning for a great 2 days of sports gambling/drinking

Frank Gore is still good, right?

Rum and Coke may have played a part in not getting outbid there. #######s.

Edit: And, uhh... Steven Jackson too. I don't think I'll be bidding for awhile.

TY. The prices on WR's were really inflated with a couple guys going to WR-heavy lineups, so I missed on a lot of the top guys. I went high on Colston because it was late and I had been prudent enough with my dollars earlier. But I think that helped me get Romo for $12 and Witten for $11, with all of the other elite QB's off the board and a lot of money gone.

I'm home now.

Bennett is still at the hospital. Still has his fever, vacillating between 101 and 102, but spiked to above 103 at one point. He came back negative on menangitis and his cell counts are all good. His lungs also sound good which is awesome because pneumonia can develop from the severe kind of acid reflux he has. Since he still has his fever he almost certainly has an infection of some kind. He's on antibiotics and will be kept at the hospital a minimum of 48 hours as they run tests and what not. So no bad news, and some kind of good news, but we will still have to wait and see.

Also as we were waiting Mrs. Frosty started developing a pain in her side, which got so severe at one point she was doubled over in pain, and the nurses made her go check in to the ER. They currently are theorizing it might be appendicitis. I'm only home because I had to let my parents go home and take over watching my daughter.

I'm not going to lie, this is a freaking lot to deal with right here. I can't believe I have to go to work tomorrow.

It's always darkest before the dawn. Right now, you're the rock everybody needs to lean on. It's a hard job, but you're strong enough to do it. Make sure your co-workers know what's going on. You need support wherever you can get it. Oh, and fevers that high in little kids aren't abnormal. My oldest once got to 104 and it freaked me the hell out. A 104 for people our age is much more severe. Ben's fever means he's fighting off his infection like a little champ and that's a great thing.

Jesus, you can't get a day off for this? Homer doesn't show up for work if there's too much debris (pizza boxes, beer cans, over-turned tricycles) between the bedroom and the front door.

I could, but I just took two weeks paternity leave and had to miss a bunch of half days here and there leading up to it for various doc appointments. I know they wouldn't care, but I'm starting to feel some guilt. It's a great job with great people, but I've only been there five months.

Already called in sick for tomorrow. It's been a long, beer-soaked, pizza laden weekend.
