I have a female student whose last name is Townsend. She brought up a paper for me to record and I said "OK...let me see...Ashley 'Pete' Townsend...there you go."

Her: What? 'Pete'?

Me: Ha. I was kidding. You know, Pete Townsend?

(now I don't expect your average 13 year old to know who the hell Pete Townsend is but if you have the same last name it's not that crazy)

Me: Pete Townsend? The guitar player for The Who?

Me: The Who.

Me: The band! The Who. 'My Generation' 'Pinball Wizard'?

Her: No idea what you're talking about.

Me: I wasn't alive for this stuff either but I know it. No excuse.

Me: You never know. Maybe you're related to Pete Townsend and you don't even know it.

Me: Maybe your Uncle Pete wants to leave you some of his fortune when he dies but since you don't know who he is you'll get nothing. And just because you don't know your music history. That's a shame.

If I remember right, I really wanted to add another RB before the long wait, and a bunch of WRs all seemed about the same. I figured he's going to get some touches every single game and could score some TDs.

It was a full-on rant by Escape Goat about how a shark listens to that little voice on Sunday morning saying "Get Greg Camarillo active". I don't know if it exists since MOP killed the thread.I think it peaked in another SP thread when the user "That Little Voice" and user "Get Greg Camarillo Active" were quoting each others posts just for the shtick of it in the nested quotes display.
