GM's thread about nothing (21 Viewers)

barking out odd mathematical terms
Such as?
{in my very best college professor voice, which is part nerd, part Eddie Murphy doing a white guy} "Pythagarim's theory stipulates that an isocolese triangle requires a fractional denonmonator larger than pi to manipulate the correct angles associated with David's lawn-mower blades" {points to riding lawnmower with a tip of the pipe and a plume of smoke}
Oh my.
This might come as a great shock, but i never advanced past college algebra.

What grade did you get to in spelling?

We're learning about inventions and technology in class today. This includes a discussion of a quote by Alex de Tocqueville that states Americans are "to be always making life more comfortable and convenient, to avoid trouble, and to satisfy the smallest wants without effort and almost without cost...."

So I'm showing them

This is really weird, but I had a dream about this thread last night. Specifically I dreamed that Mex put up this post about a conversation he had with GM that night:

GM: Do you think in a Voldemort-y world people would still carry guns?Mex: Mex, down?GM: I know, I just asked the question because I wanted to elaborate on the answer.Mex: Go ahead.GM: Suck it. :coffee:
That's exactly it, right down to the emoticons. I have no idea what this could possibly mean.
You want to hear something funny? Last night at the dinner table, my youngest son Coop asked me what "Suck It" meant. He's reading now and apparently on Friday night at the Roller Derby, he read "Suck It" on the video screen. He knows he's not supposed to say 'suck', but the poor kid was mulling over what "Suck It" meant for 4 days before meekly asking us at the dinner table. And Coop did meet Mex.

Is isocolese the stuff that loosens your stool?
PM sent.

I feel this pain. Cal is constantly reading over my shoulder. All I have to do is click over to :e: and he leaves screaming "OH KNOW E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Normally, I like to run things through spell check...but last night, I thought I'd just wing it. I'm going to check now to see how badly I butchered this.

You usually run your posts through spell check?
I do if they are longer than a few sentences or contain words I'm not sure on. :goodposting:
GB Google toolbar with spell check.
Or Chrome for that matter.

Thanks guys.Speaking of college. We paid for part of her 1st year after the Scholarships and Grants, but now we have to look ahead and she needs financing for the rest of her college.Has anyone taken out student loans lately? Where is a good place to get them? Thanks again!
Bump ;)
Don't know anything about it, but let me know what you find out. It won't be long before I'm doing this.I always figured I'd be refinancing.
Another bump here. There has to be someone out there who can shed a little light on this for us "not so fortunate" FBG.TIA

I don't know anything about it. Sorry. :coffee:

GM, did you see Tosh.0 last night? Part of it was made especially for you.

The look on Mrs. SLB's face was awesome. I've never seen her to flabbergasted before which being married to me is saying something. That was equally as funny.

But you are one of those typical rich FBG, so I didn't expect you to know. ;)

The guidance office doesn't have any info? I'd check with them first. She may be surprised to find more aid/grants based on her 1st and potentially 2nd semester grades.I think Chase and Sallie Mae have student loan programsSorry, I don't know much about it...my college experience is detailed a few pages back :bag:

I don't know if I have been talking to a new person there or what, but I have gotten absolutely nowhere with them. I did start looking through their website and there is a little info there, so I will have to do more reading. Thanks

Remember that system I mentioned for college basketball over/unders? Since the plays I've posted in this thread have only gone 2-2 I didn't bother posting tonight. The plays I would have posted (system plays that are offered on sportsbook.com) went 5-0. Sorry.
