GM's thread about nothing (14 Viewers)

When you guys had swimming class in high school, did everyone cover up with towels when they changed, or did people have their ####s out?
What made you think of this? Follow question to you and everyone else: did your PE teacher take showers with the class?

I had first period athletics in high school and some guys were way less discreet than others about #####. Some dudes would comb their hair in front of the mirror with no towel, **** swingin'. I basically showered in my towel.

I don't remember people showering after PE class. If they were, I missed it, because I was smoking cigarettes in the bathroom with the hoods.

Was everybody in this thread really in PE in high school? Because this place just got a lot less cool.

I remember two guys getting into a fight in the shower after basketball practice. I got the #### out of there. Nothing good could come of that.

Went to my monthly professional association meeting tonight. One new member brought her daughter.

:homer:

The daughter's name is Candy.

:homer: :homer: :homer:

This has been a fun week. ER visit last night, abdomen is still blasting pain, they took a ton of tests and it revealed nothing. :scared:

On Vicodin, so I guess that's a win.

I put off taking P.E. until my counselor forced me to take it my senior year. It really sucked dressing out and getting sweaty and being 3 years older than those stupid little freshmen boys, although I could make them do anything. When the curse of the P.E. credit came around again in college, I got around it by chosing horseback riding. I loved that class.

:insertbigstudbetweenherlegsjoke:We had no such requirement. Ours was something broader like "personal development credit".

yeah- mandatory two years in my HS in the 80s.and swimming- we had it for maybe even a whole semester, combined with first aid. I don't remember any locker room jousting or anything, but IIRC, some of the guys walked around nude (guys on the swim team, IIRC), but the rest used the towel wrap. non swim-team guys showered with swim shorts on. and then we all had sex.I also found it ironic that during a segment of PE when the separated girls out for personal defense (ie: rape-defense), they split the boys out into rape class.

I don't like showering with dudes? My freshman year I refused to shower after practice. My GB's Dad always brought us home, he's a black dude and sort of talked like Chef from SP and one day he finally says "damn! which one of you boys ain't showering?!" I fessed up and promised to shower after the next practice. Fortunately I broke my hand the next practice and dodged it for another year. I still never liked all of the other guys admiring my junk.
Holy crap, we have somebody "very interested" in our house. So much so they are wondering how much we would want for the washer and dryer. No offer yet though.
They want to walk through it again Monday at 11:00. AM I think. Probably should have asked.
GLGBSLB.
Thanks! Hopefully they don't low ball too bad.

exactly - why the hell wouldnt you sign up? Floor hockey with gym teacher in net was fantastic. We had two mandatory classes in highschool - but could take additional credits in PE too.

:goodposting: Also, thinking back, I don't ever recall it being referred to as "PE" it was always called gym class or just gym. (pronounced like the name Jim) On our report cards it said Physical Education but other than it was always just gym.

Not PE. Soccer. :bag:
We HAD to take PhysEd, regardless of whether we were involved in sports or not. In fact, half our coaches were the PhysEd teachers, and they managed to use that time as supplemental practice time when they could.

Not to be a major downer or anything, but you might ask them to screen fo Pancreatic Cancer. I'm sure that's not it, but I ha a guy in a fantasy league a couple of years ago who went 9 months with crazy abdominal pains before they finally disagnosed him with that and he was dead less than 6 months after that.Like I said, I'm sure that's not it, but it's worth asking the question early.

Mandaroty 2 Quarters of PE 2 Quarters of Health Class every year Freshman to Senior. As mentioned our pool was hardly ritzy. Think potential Saw XII setting. We also had 4 buildingson campus and only 1 was AC. The others concrete bunker ovens.

Back in the 80's we had a full year of PE as freshman and 1/2 a year as sophomores. And showering was mandatory. If you didn't shower after PE the coach would rape you. Savagely.

Totally. If bombardment was a sport, my life would be a lot different now. I was The Natural. Did anyone else's school make them do square dancing a couple times a year in gym class? It was the girls' favorite and the boys hated it. If I knew then what Homer knows now, I'd have done things a lot different.

How to lure a pre-teen into an unmarked van?
