Let's say that you've been in touch with a member of the FFA regarding a potential job opportunity for your spouse. Let's also say that the FBG hasn't gotten back to you in weeks after you've tried to follow up.

And your spouse is a bit of a go-getter and keeps asking you to recontact this person, even though this person clearly doesn't want to help and you're clearly uncomfortable sending yet another message.

And then your spouse's overinvolved parents take it upon themselves to look up the address and phone number of everyone in the FBG's city by said FBG's name - and email it to you.

It's okay for me to be uncomfortable with my spouse calling this FBG out of the blue, yes?

Cal told me this morning that they adopted what I have been teaching him class wide. Maybe school wide? Anyhow, it's pretty simple I told him (which I relayed to this committee) that whenever he gets upset he needs to:

1. Stop

2. Smile

3. Think of the appropriate thing to say.

We go over this every morning before he goes to school and today he said we didn't need to do it any more because they have a poster in his room now with this on it. Slap it high?

So I'm having the worst year when it comes to pronouncing student names...first names.I've got Breanna and Breeana. One is BREE-AHN-UH the other is BREE ANN UH. Not sure which is which.I have an Indian (dots not feathers) girl with the name Simar. I pronounced it SIM AR the first day (which actually sounds kind of pretty). She told me it's SIMMER. watAnother girl who is Indian but from England. Her name is Kajol. I thought it was KAH-JEWEL. Nope, it's CODGE-EL.And then I've got this other Indian (who is very Americanized) who I have this little Abbott and Costello routine going on with. I swear to god this has happened every day for the last 3 days. It doesn't help that she has braces and it makes it hard for her to enunciate some words.Me: Prushti?
