GM's thread about nothing (31 Viewers)

I thought this thread would be fun since I never really read thru it much. I posted the arithmetic just to poke fun at myself since I suck at math. I really wasn't trying to incite a riot Fish.

To be met with that much venom over one little post seems odd. Why is everyone at Defcon 4 around here lately?

Well, that's it.

Did a 4 a.m. CAT scan.

Still bleeding on the brain, no pupil response.

She's brain dead.

Waiting on a family member and then we pull the ventilator.

Worst day of my life.

:( :( :( :( :(I'm so sorry to hear that BLI can't even imagine what you must be going throughI have a similar relationship with my mom - she's the sports nut. It's been a couple weeks since I've talked to my parents - gonna change that tonight. If there's anything the people of GMTAN can do to help you through this, just say it and I'm sure it will be done 10x over. Good luck!

Try opening your eyes you effing d-bag. Our friend's mom just died and he's pretty broken up about it. We're all sending condolences when you come rolling in with your d-bag act. Is everything you do this awkward and annoying? A few pages ago we were talking about fapping to Boss Hog, but no, you save your special needs hall monitor act for now.

This has been a pretty ####ty week in and out of the GMTAN for stuff like this. SLB's friend, BobbyLayne's Mom, a local friend of ours and firefighter died this past weekend 500 yards from the finish line of the Chicago marathon.

There must be some way to shift the universal karma to the positive and honor those recently lost. Until I find the best way, I'll be raising a glass to each of them tonight.

so very sad and sorry for your loss Bobby.

I lost my dad completely unexpectedly 4 years ago. he was diagnosed w pancreatic cancer days earlier, but wanted to keep it from my brother and me until after the holidays- he died on christmas eve. I got the call as I walked off the shuttle in DC to spend xmas w the inlaws and collapsed on the gateway. Worst day of my life.

####. I wish I could say it gets good.... it just doesnt. But it gets better... slowly. Death ####### sucks.

T&P gb BobbyLayne. When the dust and tears settle I want to take you out for drinks/lunch/strippers/something. #### :(

Someday, we'll all be able to look back at just how idiotic and dooshbaggish MoP's ill-timed comments were and get a good laugh. For now- not so much.
 
There is no way I can have any idea what you're going through BL, but I imagine every part of you feels numbingly devastated, and for that I'm truly sorry. Best to you and your family in the coming days and weeks (and months and years).

I know this isn't the same thing, but holy crap did I wank it to Baywatch a lot. Since I didn't have a VCR in my room in became appointment wacking, too. I'd always try to be home and my friends gone by 7pm every Sunday.

On a slightly lighter note, proud dad moment here...

I got a call yesterday from my daughter's gymnastics teacher. I guess they've been keeping an eye on her and they were calling to see if she would be interested in joining the invite-only elite group. Woo hoo!!

For those that haven't been following along with the Big Papi/Guster story, My ex and I separated in early 2008 - actually got the call at a local FBG fantasy league cornhole/end of the year party. :awkward:

Well, since that time I have my daughter half the time now and one of the things we bond over is her gymnastics lessons. I never push her and always ask her if it's fun and she wants to keep doing it and she always says yes. In the ~3 years I've had her in gymnastics lessons, I think I've missed a max of 3 sessions. When she's out there, she always looks to me for approval and to see if I'm proud.

After the journey to get where I am today, I'm happy to say hell yes Anna, I'm very proud!!

Now this is creepy, because I remember that article . . . . I was stuck with my family at my mom's cabin in the middle of nowhere for 2 weeks in the summer. That was all the bathroom reading that there was.
