I dated a guy named Worth (yeah) in high school for about a year. He was a class younger, and I eventually broke up with him and didn't really keep up with him after graduation.

Fast-forward to the late 90s. and I've been in Chicago for a few years and see an article in the Chicago Tribune about a band called The Moviegoers. The article contained a picture of the band and quotes from a guy with the same name. Looked a lot like him, and since both his first and last names were rather unusual, I figured it's him. I gave him a call and sure enough, he'd moved to Chicago around the same time I had.

We became good friends again and he is responsible for my meeting the people who became most of my closest Chicago friends (and, indirectly, meeting Mr. krista). But only a couple of months after we first met up again he invited me to a video shoot that his band was doing, where a bunch of people I'd begun to get to know but liked very much would also be.

The video shoot was long as they encouraged each person to get up a do a dance or whatever to be filmed as the band repeated the song over and over and over. I avoided doing this for as long as possible, until I was the last one who hadn't done it and basically succumbed to peer pressure as someone shoved sunglasses and a hat on me. I'm sure the actual dancing is for a much longer time, but that was a clip that Worth sent me several months ago. As you can see I was talking to someone trying to get out of it.

On another note, they don't sell wine in the supermarkets here. This confuses me and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

I have been sleeping like crap lately and even thinking about posting is a mental challenge. I have been here over a year and my internal clock still flips every chance that I give it the opportunity. At least the hijinks here remain top-notch, always something good to read between naps.I don’t think I have mentioned anything about it previously, but my decision to retire from the military in 2013 has wreaked havoc on me being able to lock down my next assignment. It looks like this might finally be resolved. The winner??? Lemoore, CA. I have never been to Bakersfield, but I imagine that Tanner rules over a paradise comparatively.
