I ordered one of these for my brother from Amazon. UPS says it was delivered 2 days ago, but it's nowhere to be found. Do I have any recourse? Drifter?

Limited as it's not sold by Amazon. Contact them and let them know it was meant for a Christmas present and they will definitely give you your money back and maybe have another one shipped gratis, but they have no ability to force the seller to overnight you the replacement.

It is. In the last year I've thrown out my back mowing the lawn and sprained an MCL while dancing. And I was just doing the white-guy-thumbs-up-side-to-side move... no Dancing with a Star ####.Fortunately, I still have liver failure to look forward to.

Broke my pinky toe (pause for laughs) 10 hours before I flew to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise this summer. Nothing like hobbling around the sites. I felt as old as many of the people on the cruise.

II thought it was something minor, like having his sixth toes removed. I had no idea about the morphine pump. I've always wanted on of those.

So, apparently the reason my boss had a "no wives" policy for the Christmas party is because he wanted to go big for his employees. Dinner at one of the better steakhouses in town in a private room, whatever we wanted to drink/eat all night. Not sure exactly how much it cost, but had to have been well north of $2500 for a dozen people. That was pretty rad.

If it was truly whatever you wanted to drink, I'd think you could have reached that just in wine.

Easily. But we also wanted to come back next year, and were all somewhat respectful of the boss's pocketbook. Also, I work in a bike shop with a bunch of 25-35 year old guys who aren't exactly wine enthusiasts. There are exactly two of us there who paid any attention to the wine list.
