definitely hipster.The food was very good at both bars and drinks, too. They made a very good Moscow Mule and poured me a nice glass of Turley Old Vine Zin.THe Benson is more old school and less hip/trendy and the City Grill was kind of between the two on hipness/trendiness. I ;liked all three and would recommend all three.We spent the day driving over to the coast- tourist towns Cannon Beach and Surfisde and then AStoria, an old port city. I really like Astoria, as it is a town with a purpose and has all the ships and pilot boats , etc. I grew up in Port Arthur, so that stuff has a romanticism to me.

My grandfathers wore them, though they had hair. Sometimes called a "Drivers Cap", they were fashion pieces back in the day, dating back several hundred years. Now? Now they are cool alternatives to the baseball cap and are back in vogue in a big way. I'm sure I have 10 of them in storage from my grandfathers, but you can buy them brand new for probably $80-100.

Wow, nice day! The Academy is famous for having the NW Film Festival, right? Across from the Fox Tower? Glad you liked VQ (which is what most people call it) - one of my favorites in town. You can't beat it on a nice day as they have a fabulous deck in their garden. Hate the name? How come?

With Ryan Adams and the whole substance abuse thing, he's either brilliant or awful. Rare is the person who says they saw an average show.

He's sober now, which I'm guessing is the reason we weren't able to drink inside the show. I've been to other concerts at the venue and they've always allowed alcohol. This time they sent out an email and were telling everyone as they came in that there would be no drinks of any kind inside the show. I'm also curious if the sobriety helps him deliver a more consistent show.
