Anyone else ever have it happen to them where they scan page 1 and don't see GMTAN, go on to page 2 and not see it, and think "oh crap, who got it killed? I hope it wasn't me." Only to go back to page 1 and find it got bumped back up in the middle of your process? The relief is impossible to describe.

I do this all the time.

Wow. What a choke job by the U.S. men's gymnastics team.

Going into the Olympics, the USA men were the 4th or 5th best team. They could have played it safe and done a bunch of routines they could hit and make good television, and finished 4th or 5th. Instead, they ramped up their D-scores to go for a medal, they fell a few times, and finished 5th. On the surface it looked like they choked, but it was like an underdog in a basketball or football game trying unconventional strategy like fullcourt pressing the whole game or not punting on 4th-and-3. It didn't work out and they looked bad doing it, but the strategy they tried was their best shot at getting on the podium.

July 30th Update:

There is discussion regarding how scary it can be scanning page 1 for GMTAN - going on to page 2 - and not finding it because it had been bumped in the process. Also the feeling of relief when you finally find it and know it was not killed.

By "miscalculated" I mean I smashed by head into the bottom of the pool gashing my head and breaking my kneck. I'll be fine after a while. Yeah I was playing it cool the whole time, gotta be me right? I couldn't barely see when I got out of the pool and was covered in blood. was still making jokes though trying to keep everybody calm. hell the guy in the ambulance starts asking me advice on his career. LMFAO I wanted to sleep so badly that seemed like a bad plan so I needed to keep talking and listening. The doctor was shocked I have a broken neck by the way I was acting. My wife and kids are a little hysterical right now.
