Feb and March are tough for me. I have a couple of week long vacations and maybe a spring training trip with Zilla in the works.

What about January? Xmas stuff taken care of, and kind of a lull from sports perspective. Since it's not about the game anyway...

With people coming from all over, having an oppty for a 3 day weekend is pretty important. Flying in from either coast Friday eve and leaving Sun is pretty brutal. I've never had a job where I couldn't request off the Monday after the SB, esp. if requested far in advance.

But wouldn't travel over SB weekend be pretty brutal? I don't know, just spitballing here... seems there could be prior engagements in play too.ETA: that extra day off for a 3 day weekend could be had any time, no?

Nothing is firmed up yet, but I'm interested in the initial reaction to Feb 1 - Feb 4. If your boss won;t let you off the day after the Superbowl, you should quit.

I'm busy the weekend of Jan 18th - heading to Windsor/Detroit for the auto show (and debauchery), but other than that, I should be in

Can you believe I don't have any? I read this earlier today and have been sitting here for hours trying to think of something to complain about regarding the wedding. I guess all I've got is that no one stopped me while I was drunkenly dancing to "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. I think I might have even been all by myself on the dance floor. I'm certain it wasn't a good situation.Trust me, I'm sure the years ahead will be full of grievances, but for today, I've got nothing.Doctor Detroit even plunged into Lake Superior with me on a 38 degree night. I was impressed.

He had a great year (+.400 OBP) in AAA, but he's going to be 27 this December, and there isn't much in the way of PT for him as things stand now.It'd make a lot of sense to trade an OF (Crisp is probably the worst value at $7mm a year) for someone who can play 3B. Or maybe they make a run at Youkilis.
