Question for the godless heathens in here.I am a man of faith. When something crappy is happening to one of my friends, I pray for them, regardless of their spirtual leanings. With my Christian friends, I'll let them know I'm doing so. Is it weird to hear "hey man, I'm praying for you?" Should I just not bring it up? Or even though you think it's hooey do you still appreciate the thought?
My mom tells me she prays for me, but I'm used to that. If one of my close friends told me this, I might pat them on the head with a rock. Nice sentiment, but "I'm thinking about you man" is much preferred to "I'm praying for you". You might as well tell me you invented a magic spell for me.
Is it ever OK to tell a woman "I think about you when I spank it"?
I have done it with pretty good results.
Telling the girl or spanking it?
Both.

For you, yeah. For me...well, spanking has a much more negative connotation with my target audience.

Just got an email from a guy trying to email himself a To Do List (his email is the same as mine only he added a "0" to the end of it)

What's the play here? Was thinking of forwarding it but slipping in something humorous.

Oh, and it's a high school teacher that apparently is also taking classes at Hamline.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ah, you're not a dickmitten then. At least not because of this.
:finger: :lmao:
Bob:So you're upset because you did the right thing by your fellow man and you are now rid of the sales vacuum you wished you could have gotten rid of before?Sounds like a win for your karma and a win for your bottom line.
You know it's funny, right after I posted I got an e-mail from this gal that just left a current client. She has a new job and would like to give us a shot. It would be a very nice account.
1. People suck. Sorry, GBSLB.2. If GBSLB's company doesn't have all its employees sign confidentiality agreements, as well as non-competes if they can, then they're doing it wrong.3. Doesn't sound like you'll miss two weeks of her work, and you get to save that two weeks of salary. Sounds like a winning situation. For schadenfreude purposes, I hope she forgot to ask if she goes on their medical benefits right away or has a waiting period.
1. Thanks GB. I just don't get it.2. That's the thing, we all know she and all of the other people did. My Dad says he doesn't think so and can't find anything in the file. #### you Alzheimers. My Dad's deteriorating memory is one of my worse nightmares right now.3. This is true and we probably would have just told her to hit it. She's an idiot, I'm sure she didn't even think about medical benefits.3a. We divided up her 20 (TWENTY accounts in 7-8 years!!!) accounts. I took three of the better ones and called them. Two of them had the wrong contact name in our computer and apparently they don't even know who she is. The third seemed to kind of know her. I'll be seeing them all of them in person tomorrow. Apparently she spent all of her time on her largest, least profitable account. Great plan. I :lmao: :lmao: at the company that hired her. 3q. Percentage wise, she has made almost double of what I've paid this year. But we have been slighting this coward by not paying her enough. Sheesh.
Unfortunately this is another lesson in the old saying " No good deed goes unpunished."
Man, I lived this a few times.

At 1:08 AM, I awoke to a burning smell and a grinding noise. Since I don't own a Sybian, I sit up and discover my CPAP is dying. It's been 16 years, it was a run. I spent the rest of the night sitting up on the couch, 'cuz it's less likely that I will die in my sleep that way.

I'm scheduled for a repeat sleep study on 12/18, but I will never make it until then. I'm the walking dead after one night without CPAP. I call the sleep lab and tell them I will be fired, or dead, if they can't get me a sleep study tonight. A few hours later, they oblige. I head over there in a couple of hours. I got through the morning with a Loca Moca and the afternoon with a diet Dew. Not a pattern I care to repeat.

If you had a company and one of your employees was woefully under performing but her husband has cancer and you know they have no other income coming in, you would be a first class dickmitten for firing said employee, right?
My boss recently had something fairly similar come up.He let the guy go but paid him for four months after the fact to give him time to find a new job. He also gave him a bike. My boss is pretty rad.
Yeah see my next post. Do something good for people and they #### you. I've had it.
quit grousing about #### and look how well this worked out for you. You never would have fired her on the spot and the remaining time, if you ever got the balls to do it would be untenable. No more moping or beinging the office down, no guilt, no more subsidizing her ineptitude, Never having to look at her ugly face and hold back from punching it because you could'nt deal with being wracked by guilt over her husbands cancer. In fact, now you're starting to piss me off. You ahve a huge windfall and whine about the manner in which it was received? For gods sake man, look at the bottom line and forget about the bull#### that provided your best result.

It does not bother me at all. Just in case the fairy tales are true, it would hurt to have a lobbyist working on the big guy for me.

Oh I'm done. Just needed to vent. However, she may (likely) have loads of customer information. That's a big fail and nothing to celebrate.

Not to mention how we have carried her dumb ### out of the goodness of our hearts. I'm also really pissed that she more than likely has given inside information to a competitor.
Up until this part it seems like she was doing you a favor
still is. Any advantage his competitor gets from her "info" will be recouped by his competitor having her on his staff.
:lmao: I would still prefer her not have said info to pass on. It's way uncool.

I might can get my hands on one for you. I have a spare that blows only, if that would work for you, you can use it til the new one arrives.. I also have a buddy that gave up on his. He might sell it for $500.

I seriously doubt she's ept enough to sabotage you good buddy. When you hit a superfecta, do you whine about the 20 percent juice the track took off the top?

Just had my worst week of gambling in a long long time.

Scary number I am looking at.

All my instincts are screaming Carolina and the over, so I just bet three dimes on Phil+135/U42 parlay. If I lose, I'm closing the account until baseball season.

Figure I'll ask in here.

Had a second interview this time in person.

Was told a talent coordinator will be in touch (basically a recruiter)

THe hiring manager interviewed me this time - salary still has not been discussed.

What's the play -

wait till the "talent coordinator" contacts me ?

See what the offer is if I get it?

Email hiring manager with the question?

Pretty sure it's not to do number 3

If you have to ask, you can't afford to work there.

I quit using mine after I broke my neck. Just too claustrophobic. Weird though, now I don't snore as bad as I used to. I don't think. At least my wife doesn't complain about it as much.

:goodposting: I would wait until the "talent coordinator" contacts you. If you don't hear something for ~1 week then I would reach out.

I have three phone interviews tomorrow, including one for the Goshen, IN job (which you'll recall is just south of Elkhart).
GLGBK4... I hope you get 3 offers and they all kick ###
What happened with the current gig? I have missed quite a bit of this thread of late....
Still gainfully employed, but just deciding if she wants to go down with the sinking ship or not
Thanks Guster, glad to hear that it's on K4's terms.

We still appreciate knowing someone cares.

Sitting in the ER waiting to be called back for my sleep study. No telling how long I'll wait. But the game is on, and the wifi rages.
