School shooting not too far from here. JFCETA: And yes...that is the high school that Robin Williams and Kurt Russell played for in "Best of Times".
Do not release name... interrogate... exterminate.
Word is that this wasn't a "Columbine/Sandy Hook" deal. It was more like the shooter had one specific target (apparently the victim) he was after. Not sure if that makes it any better or not.
Article says he was after 2 kids, Watson.
It does?
Am I misinterpreting?"Sheriff Donny Youngblood said that the student shot one student who is in critical condition. The shooter attempted to shoot another student but missed and struck a teacher in the head. The shooter told authorities that he was planning on shooting another student."
Ahh...the article was updated after my original post. Carry on.

Anybody up for a little contest? Winner gets a SLB bag o' crap.E-mail themorningafter@kfns.com with a funny e-mail next Friday, 1/11/13. If they don't determine one of you the winner, I'll be the judge. The Players:Tim McKernan He, Jim Edmonds & Keith Tkachuk are the owners of the program. Tim's shtick includes making fun of his short stature, Irish heritage, bald head and how his Dad has used his stature in the community to pave the way for him in every aspect of life.Doug Vaughn Long time CBS sports broadcaster and funny guy. Doug is the guy repeating the names of the e-mailers. The e-mailers like to discuss Doug's sweet butt and having gay love with him. Doug's favorite shtick is acting like "get off my lawn" guy.Jimmy "The Cat" Hayes Sideline reporter for the Cardinals and Blues, The Cat is a real smart ### and just a funny guy. Over the years has claimed several questionable things such as he grooms his pubes in a landing strip. This has earned him the nickname Grass Fairy. Segment 2 will give you some good ammo and is some funny stuff talking about Musberger & Dockett. I also forgot Producer Joe is allergic to tree nuts. lol
Someone loves their local radio.
One of you made a funny post this week that I will be submitting in your name. :coffee:

Saw the headline and you were the first person I thought of. Wish the media would stop giving these #######s the attention they want. I'm guessing it would considerably stop this ####.
Thanks. But for the record if I was in Taft I'd probably shoot myself. I won't even go there to play disc golf.

If you criminalize discs, only criminals will have discs.

So sorry to hear Oat. That's awful. Miscarriages suck. My wife is friends with a co-worker of hers and at 8 months last December the umbilical cord wrapped itself around the baby's neck and the baby died. 2 weeks ago she had a beautiful healthy child. Take your time to grieve. It's ok to just have one kid if you guys can't go through it again. But there's certainly hope if you do.Thoughts and prayers buddy.

last night I did the wingman thing for my friend and ended up in a hot tub with one very hot and one fairly unattractive woman. the unattractive one gave me a bj while holding her breath under water. I sort of hoped she was going to drown.
I know I missed about 2.5 months here but what happened to fishwife 2.0?

So does anyone have this flu I keep hearing about? Can someone link me to the Ham influenzalypse thread
Not yet, but I have had two different people ask me today if I have gotten a flu shot. I haven't gotten one in probably 10 years and figure that it's a little late to get one this year. Bad idea?

This made me sad:Yesterday we were talking about Richard Nixon since it was his 100th birthday. I asked my students if any of them knew what the "M" in Richard M. Nixon stood for. Surprisingly about 4 kids (out of the 195 I have all day long) actually knew that it stands for "Milhous".The sad part? About 75% of these kids don't know who Milhouse Van Houten is.
Did not realize that Milhouse Van Houten's middle initial is also 'M'. Without binging it ('sup GM), does anyone know what the M stands for?
McKayla?
Marx?
wrong ism
Schlism

I'm no epidemiologist, but I think they're basically useless.
Not looking to pick a fight, but is the CDC lying when they urge everyone to get one, even this late in the season?

I think they are playing the percentages that whatever shot they can offer will noticeably reduce the flu. Even if it keeps one strain out of circulation, that might be enough to prevent two strains from combining.

I mean it looks like he's having oral sex with the ******* lovechild of a universale remote and a brethalyzer. What the hell is it?

What does this have to do with butterflies?

I need some lawyerly advice....Most of you know my mom died last year. We are finally getting around to selling the house. My sister moved out and now we are getting ready to sell.In her will she stated that the house be split between us 4 siblings. We are all good with that.Do we have to go to probate? What does this even mean? How do we go about getting the house into my sister's name who was named executor so we can sell it?Do we need a lawyer if we all agree with the will? She wasn't rich so we aren't talking about a lot of money, under $200k total if that means anything.

This makes perfect sense.

Are flu shots free? :coffee:

What the hell is in the GMTAN water lately? My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and has gestational diabetes so she has two different doctor visit each week. Today she had high blood pressure at both so they wanted her to go to the hospital to monitor it over night. Well it was staying high so they started talking about doing the C-section tomorrow, gave her a steroid shot to help the babies lungs develop sooner. Doctors all talked and I think the best case scenario now is that she will be in the hospital for two weeks while they continue to monitor her. IF they make it to week 37 then they will take out the baby.Normally this wouldn't be as big an issue as my parents would drop everything to take my 2 daughters during the day so I can go to work. However they are in Florida on vacation. My MIL is bat #### crazy so no way in hell I call her. My sister and the one SIL I would call to help both work during the day. I think I might have to start calling my wifes mom friends out of the blue, whom I have never met. to see if they can watch the girls during the day.I know this pales in comparison to Otis's baby related issue, but I had to do something to get it off my chest. Now back to our regularly scheduled naming of random sports players.

They are to me, as I work for a large healthcare organization that is highly motivated to protect their patients. But if I perceive your point correctly, The Man isn't getting too rich. It's $25 at every Rite-Aid in America. Now obviously, $25 times tens of millions is a lot of money, but I don't think the margins are obscene on this stuff.

Bagpipe?Edit: Wait a minute, I forgot the sodomite part. Teabagpipe?

Any if you guys ever deal with your wife having a miscarriage pretty far into pregnancy? At the hospital now. Wife is 5 months pregnant with what should be our second girl. In and out of the hospital past week or two with some seemingly minor issues, discharged yesterday after the full anatomy scan and ultrasound declaring the baby perfectly healthy. Back in the hospital tonight with my wife having contractions and going into labor. Obviously way too early to be viable. Instead of being home in bed we're listening to the nurse read us the official form which tells us that in NY state you have to bury the baby if it is beyond 20 weeks (ours is literally 20 weeks and a day today). Just awful. My poor wife has been through hell with this pregnancy. Life is ####### bull#### sometimes. I dunno. Just had to share.
Thanks all. All done just like that. :kicksrock:
Jesus. I know I'm coming to this late, but so sorry. I think your statement "Life is ####### bull#### sometimes" is about the only thing to say.I know you and Mrs. Oat are individually very strong, and very strong as a couple, and that you'll be there to support each other through this awful time. I'm so sorry you have to go through it, though. Just awful. TPW.
