Word is that this wasn't a "Columbine/Sandy Hook" deal. It was more like the shooter had one specific target (apparently the victim) he was after. Not sure if that makes it any better or not.

So sorry to hear Oat. That's awful. Miscarriages suck. My wife is friends with a co-worker of hers and at 8 months last December the umbilical cord wrapped itself around the baby's neck and the baby died. 2 weeks ago she had a beautiful healthy child. Take your time to grieve. It's ok to just have one kid if you guys can't go through it again. But there's certainly hope if you do.Thoughts and prayers buddy.

I think they are playing the percentages that whatever shot they can offer will noticeably reduce the flu. Even if it keeps one strain out of circulation, that might be enough to prevent two strains from combining.

I need some lawyerly advice....Most of you know my mom died last year. We are finally getting around to selling the house. My sister moved out and now we are getting ready to sell.In her will she stated that the house be split between us 4 siblings. We are all good with that.Do we have to go to probate? What does this even mean?How do we go about getting the house into my sister's name who was named executor so we can sell it?Do we need a lawyer if we all agree with the will?She wasn't rich so we aren't talking about a lot of money, under $200k total if that means anything.

What the hell is in the GMTAN water lately? My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and has gestational diabetes so she has two different doctor visit each week. Today she had high blood pressure at both so they wanted her to go to the hospital to monitor it over night. Well it was staying high so they started talking about doing the C-section tomorrow, gave her a steroid shot to help the babies lungs develop sooner. Doctors all talked and I think the best case scenario now is that she will be in the hospital for two weeks while they continue to monitor her. IF they make it to week 37 then they will take out the baby.Normally this wouldn't be as big an issue as my parents would drop everything to take my 2 daughters during the day so I can go to work. However they are in Florida on vacation. My MIL is bat #### crazy so no way in hell I call her. My sister and the one SIL I would call to help both work during the day. I think I might have to start calling my wifes mom friends out of the blue, whom I have never met. to see if they can watch the girls during the day.I know this pales in comparison to Otis's baby related issue, but I had to do something to get it off my chest.Now back to our regularly scheduled naming of random sports players.

They are to me, as I work for a large healthcare organization that is highly motivated to protect their patients. But if I perceive your point correctly, The Man isn't getting too rich. Any if you guys ever deal with your wife having a miscarriage pretty far into pregnancy? At the hospital now. Wife is 5 months pregnant with what should be our second girl. In and out of the hospital past week or two with some seemingly minor issues, discharged yesterday after the full anatomy scan and ultrasound declaring the baby perfectly healthy. Back in the hospital tonight with my wife having contractions and going into labor. Obviously way too early to be viable. Instead of being home in bed we're listening to the nurse read us the official form which tells us that in NY state you have to bury the baby if it is beyond 20 weeks (ours is literally 20 weeks and a day today). Just awful. My poor wife has been through hell with this pregnancy. Life is ####### bull#### sometimes. I dunno. Just had to share.
