He also voluntarily dropped them when he came home Sunday night. It wasn't really that much different than seeing him during the day, since his sitting at the poker table always resulted in our being able to see not only his boxers but a fair amount of his disturbingly wide butt-crack. YSR and I debated dropping something in it, like a Space Shuttle, but I'm not sure anyone ever did.

Yes I do not make the address easy to find. First off, I like the secluded, off the grid setting I have and will not even put up a sign.Second, too many people already call late at night looking for a room. I sure as hell don't want them knocking at my door in the middle of the night. If I don't know someone is coming and when, I do not want them and make no attempt to make them feel welcome (except someone like you who I halfway expected and were part of a group already there).

Netted out a couple hundred, a box of leftover half-full booze (no pappy), and a couple cases of beer. And I am cool with that. I just did not want to go negative. Getting this together and making it work and be fun was my main objective and that was accomplished. I cannot express how satisfying it was.I won't name names and certainly do not want to embarrass anyone, but in situations like this the staff should get a tip. Most of you did and I imagine the couple who did not just forgot in the midst of their foggy hangovers. I covered those that did not and still came out slightly ahead, so we're all good.Also, I only had to turn down two reservation requests for that weekend, so the lost revenue was not bad.

I've often wondered why people planning for retirement don't focus on dividend paying stocks. Seems like a better idea then buying looking just for the price to increase.

What's the best way to find stocks with good dividends?

I think the better question is how to find GOOD STOCKS that pay dividends. There are still hundreds of companies that will pay a dividend (and I think more equities will follow suit as the hunt for yield intensifies) and not all of them are worth your investment. Historically, utility companies, oil/gas, railroads...mature companies with good earnings have paid the most attractive dividends. A Duke Energy, for example, pays a nice 4% dividend, but at 90 bucks a share, you aren't buying too many shares unless your name rhymes with MistaDoor. Do a simple google search for 'how to pick a dividend paying stock' and you'll return dozens of good articles on how to find the right stocks for you.

Agreed. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but cos put me in a bedroom in his own house instead of in the B&B. I had asked to be somewhat separate because I have a tendency to keep early hours and I sometimes get hacking fits in the morning or at random times (not pretty - I think Bob, GM, & COlin saw some of that before dinner on Saturday - sorry guys). But I was thinking more with my request of being in the smallest BR in the B&B or a couch (or staying in a hotel, something I am SO glad cos didn't let me do). He invited some dude he didn't know to stay with himself, his awesome wife, and the dogs......and didn't seem to worry a damned bit. I can't say much more than he and coswife are fine people.Oh yeah - Meat Purse. Thorn mentioned that cos stole the leftover meat from the dinner at Salt Lick. Oh yeah - Meat Purse. Thorn mentioned that cos stole the leftover meat from the dinner at Salt Lick. Sunday morning, coswife comes out on the patio asking if anyone's seen a red purse. Immediately the chivalrous gents out there start flipping cushions, chipping up concrete, calling in drones, and drinking - all to find our damsel in distress' purse (I think YSR actually looked in practical places while we were being idiot

s). Turns out cos used coswife as a mule to smuggle the meat out and, while she removed it from her purse when she got home, the aroma remained. Because the dogs (I suspect StonerPoodle was the ringleader) took her purse through the doggie door and out into the garden.

Or on the phone with a divorce lawyer.

PFM sounds like what you may be looking for. Read about this on the way to Austin actually. It has gained 4.02% a year over the last 5 years. Also think PKW is interesting. It's a fund based on companies that reduce their outstanding shares. It has gained 8.16% a year the past five years.Personally, I've been accumulating IGR.I'll leave stock chat for the stock thread now. Carry on.
