Piers Morgan just interviewed a couple from Boston that "pushed on" and got married yesterday after the bombing.Highlights:The husband looking like he wanted to die.The wife saying they decided to go through with the wedding even though she didn't know if their dinner reservations had been impacted. The wife feeling sorry for people who were "hurt and also those that aren't able to finish the race."Matching track suits even though the race was over 33 hours ago and they had pictures last night of her in a wedding gown.Wtf is wrong with some people?
I can understand continuing with the wedding on some level...lots of planning, friends, family etc.

But the fact that they went on TV to "explain themselves" is ridiculous
Sure, having the wedding go off is no big deal. Aside from the planning and people in town, it's a celebration of something. Cool, no problem.

I'm trying to find a video though - it really was so bad that I couldn't help but :lmao: He asked if they thought about canceling and she jumps in "Oh no....we were never going to cancel....we might have postponed but we weren't cancelling." At this point the husband has that "what have I done" look going on and crazy woman is coming out in full form. It was almost as if the whole interview went down in a way where she was living under a rock, producers at CNN told her all day that they wanted to interview her about her wedding, and then two minutes before turning on the cameras they said, "Oh yeah there was a terrorist attack in town and people have died....we're live in 3....2...1..."

Chicken update: Monday one of the girls had an upper respiratory infection

Tue - 14 others have an URI

Tue/wed - dose all of our previously organic chickens with antibiotics

Today - All looking much better; none are completely well, but none have died

I thought all I had to do was go down every morning and throw out some scratch and gather eggs.

I was sorely mistaken on the whole effort thing.

Try throwing a mattress on top of them. That seems to help.

Do you chew up their food and spit it into their beaks?

I leave for Singapore tomorrow. On Friday I worked it out so that my trip for a one hour meeting becomes a 2-1/2 week business/vacation trip for which I get paid, and now my last day at work is May 10. Anyway, heading to Singapore and then a presumably weird trek of Bali, Philippines, Brunei (just for a day, but who gets to say they went to Brunei), and then the Mayalsian part of Borneo.

Borneo.

I love this trip. So excited.

In the midst of typing this I realized I don't leave tomorrow, but Thursday. Whatever. Will be back May 5 and WTF BORNEO.
Our gb chinajew scott is in singapore. We should hook yall up. You may enjoy food and wine half as much as he. Great guy.
I think you put us in touch last time, come to think of it, but the timing didn't end up working (think he was out of town).

Is it legal to bring back dried chilis or other fun seasoning that I don't know about?
I've brought back weird spices and stuff from Dubai, Morocco, India and other places, so I'm assuming it's fine. Unless "fun seasoning" was some sort of euphemism.

 I've only learned because of this trip that it is apparently two words: Orang Utan. That's the way I keep seeing it, anyway.

Singapore is the best people watching city on the planet. Langkawi is a great spot too if you can hit there.

It's my third trip to Singapore. Definitely great people-watching, but it's all about the food there for me. So good. :)

getting hungry just thinking about the pepper pot crab. Yantra restaurant for Indian is pretty tasty

I haven't read a book in probably 15 years. But I have troubles falling asleep at night and usually end up watching ####ty TV until 1-2 am. So I figured I'd start reading to see if that helps, and it has a little bit.

Cos/Tre > Do you have any suggestions from what you sent me? I liked Stephen King when I was in my early teens but other than that I really only read what was required for classes. I just finished The DaVinci Code, which was a pretty easy read so something on that level would be nice. TIA
Get the Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larson. Finishing it up now. It's very entertaining.

lucky. My exciting work trip is London and Edinburgh in a few weeks.
Did I ever tell you guys about the time I got to go to Cotulla, TX?

Took the afternoon off to watch the boys because AngryWife wasn't feeling well. Concidentally, I may have consumed a fair amount of Kentucky Deluxe this afternoon. And the boys might have had ice cream and brownies as part of their dinner. And pudding.

Dad is great ...he gave us the chocolate cake!

E10 kicked my ### in our first Words game. I didn't realize it was possible to be really good at using all 7 letters in one turn. Apparently it is, since she managed this feat three times in one game. Now I see a request for a rematch... and a 7 letter word is already played.

 Have not been to Yantra but looked it up--awesome. Best Indian food I've had outside of India is in Singapore.

Will do chili crab and pepper crab for sure.
