Good luck Shuke. I wish I had something more profound to say but I do not.Taking my wife in for a spinal tap tomorrow, so they can determine if she has some elevated pressures causing her headaches.
We have to catch a break soon. The docs she's seeing now aren't as liberal with the pain meds, which is probably for the better but means she gets super stressed out about having to ration what they prescribe, because she needs them to take the edge off.
Also have her scheduled for a sleep study since she is waking up with them every morning.
But this is the worst I've ever seen her. I'm doing everything I can to try to keep her fighting, but she continues to spiral down in depression.
To make things much worse, her mom and her are not really speaking. My MIL is convinced these are "all in her head" and my wife feels this is very hurtful, and told her so about a month ago. They both have some anger issues and are very stubborn, so not sure what's going to happen. I talked to my MIL yesterday and was furious with her, although I did my best not to be an ###hole.
Sorry for the rambling. I've been wanting to get this stuff off my chest but I hate typing long posts and bothering people with this ####.
You're a legend around here and a great friend. You aren't bothering anybody and I certainly hope we can help you through this, with anything, especially if it's just to listen. Good luck, GB. I'm a great admirer and I know how loyal and devoted you are to your wife. She's very lucky to have you.Taking my wife in for a spinal tap tomorrow, so they can determine if she has some elevated pressures causing her headaches.

That's my assumption. Remember going when I was his age, but that was 30 years ago. When it's a 2+ hour drive, I'd rather be safe than sorry.Kid (13) is a big Cake fan. Just sent them an email about age restrictions at the Miller Lite Oasis stage. Would love to bring him up there for his first show.Great tunes for strippers, I've found.Very high...Drinking all day and going to see Cake at Summerfest tomarrow. Slap it high
love me some Cake. Actually would be tempted to make the run up there for that, weather looks like it's going to be crappy though.
They play at 10 so hopefully the weather is clear by then.![]()
Really? Did not know that. I don't know how they would enforce it. Dropkick Murphy's are there tonight and my GB went with his 15 year old cousin.

New brewery in OTR that opens at noon on SaturdayWhat is Rheingeist?Shuke > you and the fam hitting up Panegyri this weekend?? Rheingeist??
Ah, no all the stages are wide open (except the Ampitheater). They each fit maybe 4-5 thousand with the main road behind them so anyone can listen if they choose not to get in the mix. No one is checking IDs unless he has a beer in his hand. That's my assumption. Remember going when I was his age, but that was 30 years ago. )Think the last time I was up was probably 95. Saw General Public and Foo Fighters. And not sure about 30 years ago, but it's a huge drunk fest. Things can get out of hand. Not sure how much of that he's been exposed to.
PM me your number if you come up and I'll buy you a beer. (if I can find you)

As of this morning, I am legally divorced in the eyes of the State of Texas.
TPW appreciated.Congrats and good luck, GBJT. Going through the divorce was really hard for me and the time after I alternated between relief, regret, disappointment and occasional happiness. I hope it works out for the best and you know that there are plenty on here that are willing to help however we can.This. Literally word for word what I would say. Also, not sure how long you were married, but you should try to bang someone soon. Anyone, don't be picky. The first time after divorce is going to be strange, awesome and awkward. Get it out of your system.
I love you

Das boot - she is a pretty informed patient, knows everything about headaches, including rebound. But it is difficult to convince her not to take anything when she is this bad of shape. Getting into some type of treatment facility for a month could probably help this, but we don't know how feasible that is. There is one at the Cleveland Clinic, but she has heard bad things about it from her online friends on the headache message board, but I am not a fan of her basing her opinion on that.
walnutz - she's tried different diets and monitoring, to no avail. It would probably be worth trying again, but I know she would think now is not the time to try. Stress magnifies the headaches, and she has a lot of it trying to raise our kids while I am at work is a big stressor, and adding anything to complicate that right now would not be good for her.

sure. Does the receiver have USB ports?i'm trying to help a friend hook up the internet to her receiver so she can listen to Pandora, etc. but i've run into a bit of a snag. She has a wireless modem/router combo that is in another room but the receiver only takes a wired connection. Is there some sort of wireless receiver that plugs into a LAN port?
I don't think so? Did a little googling and it looks like a wireless bridge will do the tricksure. Ok, when I saw this earlier, I thought maybe I just had a bad notebook.
Joe T > it seems like you've caught a lot of us off guard here. Was that intentional? Why?
How are you holding up? If you've already started exploring the fresh poon, surely you know well enough to share pics
I've seen Northern come up and check it out but not actually do anything. I've heard it happens, but I question how frequently. I wouldn't be surprised if half those people forgot to pull it back into the boat and the propeller "ate them". Most of the other half were eaten by turtles.Frostillicus said:Northern would pick that thing clean in a hurry.Disco Stu said:Why don't you use a stringer? In Canada you can't use a live well by law so if you want to keep a walleye for food you have to kill it in the boat.
I'd be curious to see how they measured intelligence. What does "raw cognitive performance" mean?

makes sense. you could also look at using a powerline adapter that runs the internet through the electrical wiring in the house.I don't think so? Yeah, now that happens a lot. Northerns are mean SOBs when something comes through their territory. I found it interesting that the only "big" cities on there was Minneapolis-St. Paul (despite the residency of a certain bald ogre) and Pittsburgh.I'd be curious to see how they measured intelligence. What does "raw cognitive performance" mean?
There's some bias in there because they required 500 responses for a location to count and location was determined by IP address. There could be 100 geniuses together in a compound in Wyoming and no one else within 20 miles of them and it wouldn't count.
But anyway, congrats on being surrounded by smart people![]()
