Where are you? One of my closest friends just moved to Burlington and I'm dying to visit.
In Rutland now but headed up to Burlington tomorrow. Been 17 years since I graduated from there and my first time going back to visit.
Lived there for most of the 90s, usually go back every summer though, not this year. It's probably a better place to visit now than it used to be, but slightly worse place to live. Friends say it's basically like being a year-round resident of a tourist town - better restaurants and more stuff happening, but also everything's way more expensive, lots more traffic, and lots of tourists, particularly Quebecois since the loonie is on par with the dollar.American Flatbread in the old Carbur's is pretty good, the Farmhouse is fantastic for sitting and quaffing. It's where the McDonald's used to be right off of Church Street - friends call it "Old McDonald's."
