GM's thread about nothing (32 Viewers)

Tecumseh, in regard to submitting our lineup every week, I say either of us can make as many changes as we like and whatever team happens to be there on Sunday, let it be.

The dog came into our room last night while we were sleeping and decided to repeatedly scratch himself which also included his rabies/name medal. I of course popped up swinging while Mrs. SLB dove for cover.
One of our dogs likes to do the same thing in the middle of the night. Usually I call him over and take off his damn collar. Then I put it on the wife.

Stryker>since all of our bench players suck, I say we just leave this thing alone until someone else gets hurt.

Homer, switched in Eifert (Hey Amazon Primeluvers, look at us, we have TWO tight ends who are going to play). I think we can just go on autopilot until bye weeks start up.

Kev, feel free to make any moves to our juggernaut roster. I looked today, but didn't see anything compelling. Maybe go with Browns defense? They are pretty legit, but I think the Colts play somebody awful. I dunno.

So as I come out of the store the other day and a young couple are hanging out by my car. Turns out the guy swiped most of the side of my car with his bumper as he pulled in. As we're exchanging insurance info, he tells me it's his girlfriend's car, but wants to use his insurance. I tell him to call and check the policy to see if he's covered a primary. Of course he isn't. So he wants to do this out of pocket. I later find out that she has had a number of claims already. I'm guessing she was actually driving and he's taking the fall, but whatever, I don't care.

These seem like good young kids. He's either current or former military. I agree to work with them. I asked if he wanted me to get an estimate anywhere particular and he said no. So I pick a place close to work today and then email it to him. It's $1500. I tell him I'm willing to let him do a payment plan.

His response is "that seems steep, did you anywhere else?"

Should I be peeved at this? Look, I was willing to work with this kid, but I really do not have time going all around town getting estimates until we get a cheap one.
As somebody that has been through this a dozen times, and knows everything, call the cops immediately. You're screwed now unless the guy makes it right.
Are you supposed to call the cops for non-injury incident on a private property parking lot?

I feel like I'm a pretty good judge of character. I'm pretty sure this guy is going to pay.
Yes, a police report goes a long way should the guy decide to bail. You can still be cool about it and not turn it in to insurance though.

ETA

Of course you are screwed either way. You can get a judgement filed but that rarely works out.
Had to badger this guy a bit over the past week, as he was just stationed in NC. His girlfriend brought over the money order today

Freaked me the #### out. I thought it might have been the Ghost of Christmas Past.

I'm glad it wasn't. Otherwise Pepper might have woken up and said, "Bob, why is he dipping my jewelry in gold and wrapping it up...?"

Oh yeah, Cooper's good friend's dad (and also one of my buddies/co-coach at times) is the cousin of Tyler Eifert. Cooper asked me if Shuke might want his autograph or something. Is it sad that my sons know the team leanings of my internet friends?

Got a $90 parking ticket for parking in a loading zone downtown with my hazards on to unload my car for an event. I was there probably 3 minutes total. Woman could not have been a bigger jerk if she tried. $90....jesus.

I know who Cooper is but no idea on this Eifert guy.

There's no parking in the red zone.

Anyone can feel free to make changes to our lineup. PM me for password. Of course, that will allow you also to access my email, but I don't see anything that could go wrong with that.

We both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.

Completely forgot about that line. I haven't seen Airplane in at least 15 years.

:hifive: I could see subbing out Brown at some point but we'll see how the next few weeks shape out. Feel free to tweak to your liking.

Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes
:lmao: I really thought that was what SLB was referring to with his post.

I think we have a name but I'm not sharing it with you ### bags because you won't like it and online approval is important to me.
@
Just share it with us one letter at a time

You've decided on "Hank" whether it's a girl or a boy.
