I saw a band called The Pictures tonight. They covered Pearl Jam. They also played the Cupid Shuffle.

Did you do it?

Of course I did. This one was a family effort. I Cupid Shuffled with Yuke in arm and Angrywife did it while trying to teach JR the dance.It's actually the second time in last coupled weeks I've Cupid Shuffled. I let some chick from the Belton Convention & Visitors Bureau talk me into it at a conference a couple weeks ago.

I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed. I'm leaning ashamed.

The English language needs a word for some sort of combination of the two.

"I ate an entire 16" pizza in one sitting! I feel so _________."

I also for hired today to ghost write a blog for a German paint supply company. Pay is really good ($50 per post, five posts of 500-600 words each week) so I'm pretty happy about that.

Don't get me wrong, I had a fun run when I started pumping breast milk and drank a bunch of wine. But in having a 3.5 month old and working full-time, I'm not really sure where the alcohol could/should fit.

More importantly, if you're facing money issues, alcohol should be the first thing that goes, IMO. It's not a necessity.

I've cleaned up my act a lot and part of that has been admitting that, given the chance, id drink to excess whenever the opportunity presented itself. It's a bad way to be. And I post a lot about it but part of that is me reminding myself how much I used to drink; I used to be comfortable being "the friend with a beer in his hand." Now I realize that that guy is fun in his 20's and pathetic in his 30's.

But in the last month it seems that my 3 year old has gotten 100x smarter and hanging out with her is a lot Better than drinking. I come home and get right after it playing with her instead of drinking and it's a lot more fun.

Thanks for the concern. Really. But I'm on the mend.
