One of our cats has decided to take up the charming habit of chewing through cords. We've bought two new ethernet cords just this week, and this morning as I was watching the Olympics, POW, suddenly no TV because he had chewed through the DirecTV receiver cord.

Finding a DirecTV receiver cord on a Sunday in the South could be challenging, but after a few tries I spotted, on a list of DirecTV retailers within 50 miles of Atlanta, the name "Henry Le" and said to Mr. krista, "He'll answer." Sure enough, he picked up and claims to have what we need, though he's not in the shop address that is listed on the DirecTV site. Instead he said he would text the address and we had to be there within two hours.

Mr. krista now has cash-in-hand and is on his way to meet some guy at a house 30 miles from here to buy a receiver cord. RIP Mr. krista.

Wait, what kind of special receiver cord do you need?

I don't know? The cord was really unusual looking. Why?

The power cord itself where it plugs into the box, half of it is square shaped and the other half cylindrical.

That was my reason for not getting one for a long time. Got one back in May, never had any issues with that. At least not anymore than a regular bed with a 250 lb slab of fatty manmeat laying on it.

It's better that people don't know what's in it. Anytime I try to introduce a non-Mid Atlantican ( ) to it & describe the ingredients, they run screaming for the hills.

THey used to. I tried one a decade ago and hated it- woke up numerous times hot and sweaty.

But they must have changed the process or formula, because that has not happened on any of the ones I've bought over the last couple of years.

Ive been here for a while. Ive never started trouble so they trust me. They only test or breathalyze someone if they have reason to suspect they are intoxicated. I have never raised any suspicion.

I always make it home in time for curfew and if I cant I stay out over night. I dont have to check in or out, they only make the parolees do that because the POs need records. Those of us who arent mandated here arent hassled.

I pay more than most for a two man room. I have a door with a lock. If I sneak booze in I can drink in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep. If I come home drunk I just go to my room and then im left alone.

I currently dont have a roommate. A guy was here for a little over a month and left a week ago. He was a puerto rican guy who got out of rehab. Thats all I knew about him. We got along well.

Before that I was alone for 7 months because I purposely broke the bottom bunk bed and blamed it on the previous roommate. They decided not to fix it for a while and leave me alone to keep the peace. I had made 3 roommates before that request different rooms.

Before that I was alone for 7 months because I purposely broke the bottom bunk bed and blamed it on the previous roommate. They decided not to fix it for a while and leave me alone to keep the peace. I had made 3 roommates before that request different rooms.

How did a charming guy like yourself make 3 roommates request different rooms? Was salad tossing involved?

If I dont like a person I know how to make them leave. I dont clean up after myself. I leave crumbs and toenail clippings all over the floor. I leave my laundry in the corner to stink up the place. The bathroom is always occupied so I pee in a milk jug and leave it out. I stay up all night making noise. I do anything I can to make the person leaveOnce the place is filthy and smells of pee and laundry they leave.

I didnt do any of this with the last guy because I was comfortable sharing a room with him.

What if they respond with "I know you are trying to make me leave by being mean to me. But, forget it you can't get rid of me. I'm staying!"

I currently dont have a roommate. A guy was here for a little over a month and left a week ago. He was a puerto rican guy who got out of rehab. Thats all I knew about him. We got along well.

Any mattress shopping advice?

I've got a new king bed in the garage waiting to be assembled, just need to find a mattress now.

I've bought at least half a dozen memory foam mattresses from Amazon the last couple years and all have been good. Find the best you can afford with great reviews. I've spent from 200 -500 each.
