GM's thread about nothing (8 Viewers)

 Sometime this week I have to fix the a/c actuator or some such thing on my car. My wife, as usual, will not appreciate my skills.
I replaced the o-rings and recharged the a/c on my wife's car last year and she looked at me like I'd discovered fire.

The previews for "Mr Peabody & Sherman" make me all stabby.

ETA - almost irrationally so. Not just "this looks awful and I won't go see it", but "I'm physically angry at the very existence of this movie and would like to use a WABAC machine to prevent its very existence".

Pulling a K4 a bit here, Justified is a ####### good show. Just started watching it, 4 episodes into Season 1.
I'll be taking suggestions for a new years-old show to watch soon; pretty much anything is in play.

Henry Ford, not sure if anyone mentioned yet that one of the initiation rites 'round here is that you have to post a shot video, or if you don't want to do one of your own just grab your nearest former Welterweight champion of the world and have him do one. Just don't Thorn it afterwards.
It may be the scotch, but that doesn't appear to be a series of actual sentences. Explain?

"Shot video" and "Thorn" would be a good start.
Take a video of yourself doing a shot of your favorite booze. Post it on YouTube and post a link here.

Thorn does hilarious videos, then takes them down after a few hours, frustrating those who weren't around at 2:00 AM.

A quick aside: I certainly don't speak for everyone here. But there are two rules (more like guidelines, really) to GMTAN.

1. DO be entertaining.

b. DONT be a dickmitten.

It really is that simple. Don't sweat the inside jokes, they'll be clear in time. Welcome!
Yes, like GM.

I've been here all along and don't get most of them. :bag:

I for one would like to commend Mr. Rudnicki for the effort he has been putting in, especially over the last week, to keep this thread and its posters alive and well. As an homage, the next time I decided to wear a baseball cap, I will wear it backwards. In all sincerity, thank you

#### no one cares about:

1) The kid is home from school with croup

2) I took the day off, even though I work from home and can ignore work if i I want to, simply to avoid a conference call.

3) Thinking about having a second bagel for breakfast.

ETA: I'm curious who out of Thorn, Guster, and Zooks, Krista doesn't like. I have an idea, but I'd like confirmation.

If 'bagel' is code for 'Bloody Mary' I say go for it. If not, you should probably consider your health and skip the extra calories.

I fixed our gas stove about a month or so ago. Had to replace the oven thermostat. Worked out way better than I thought, and the oven actually still works. Can't use one burner on the stovetop though, because I must have jogged a gas line loose and everytime she uses it, the gas smell is really bad.

Probably should get someone out there to look at that before we blow the house up. But that aside, i was pretty proud of myself for fixing it.

Tried to catch up, but too much nonsense.

Did I miss anything important.

I feel honored to have been 'important' enough to have made flysack's note submission form.

My goal over there is to get accepted into the great thread in the sky. So and so's thread about nothing.

I was breaking the ice. I'll be back for another shot shortly.

Noted without comment...

BAGHDAD — A group of Sunni militants attending a suicide bombing training class at a camp north of Baghdad were killed on Monday when their commander unwittingly conducted a demonstration with a belt that was packed with explosives, army and police officials said.

The militants belonged to a group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, which is fighting the Shiite-dominated army of the Iraqi government, mostly in Anbar Province. But they are also linked to bomb attacks elsewhere and other fighting that has thrown Iraq deeper into sectarian violence.

Twenty-two ISIS members were killed, and 15 were wounded, in the explosion at the camp

I really don't feel like working today. I tossed and turned all night and slept about an hour. I would rather be in bed but instead I am listening to a co-worker on a conference call ramble on about her dog.
