One of the games the wife and I like to play when we're out (especially drinking) and people-watching is try to guess "what the deal is" with random couples. I usually go right for something kinky "he is really into anime porn and she has a fetish for guys with Fabio-like hair." The wife typically starts out with something more relationship-wise "he's bored with her but doesn't think he'll be able to find someone better if he breaks up with her and she's just interested in him for his money".

The more we drink the more detailed and bizarre it gets. I like creating back stories like "he's in denial about his bi-sexual urges because his parents are hardcore Christians and she really wants a bunch of black dudes to pull a train on her but she's afraid of minorities in general." When the wife gets tipsy she gets more direct "He's really into feet and she likes it in the butt...a lot."

All trip long, as you know from the annoying texts, it was "this a good vitamin water...probably because it's a beer". It devolved into "that's a bad Twister game...probably because it's a giant chessboard."*

Honest question: we're there any good movies last year? Watched wolf of Wall Street and was underwhelmed except for the hot chick. American hustle was boring. Llewelyn Davis was not bad. Meh.

Anyhow, JFC, this is a block from Mrs. SLB's, now old, work. Her office is just on the other side of the tallest tree between the two silver cars.

I'm awaiting a reply text back with hopes that she bought tickets but hasn't checked them. :coffee:

 
It's looking like I'm going to be putting down my 11-year old German Shep today. She's had back leg problems for years now, and they've steadily grown more weak and painful. We thought we'd have to put her down a month ago but she seemed to improve for a while, but now she's not been eating again.

She lives with my ex (I've got an apartment and no yard) who leaves the back door to the house open at night so she can wander in and out as needed. It rained early this morning and she went to check on her and found her lying in the rain in the back yard where she had been last night. She'd never do that if it wasn't too painful for her to get up.

Molly's been the best dog I've ever had. This ####### sucks. :(

Five of the last six days, I have hiked for at least two hours (took a day off yesterday due to rain). Kind of proud of myself. :)

Sorry GB. My dog turns 12 in a few months and has her issues but hopefully has a couple years left in her. I don't look forward to that day at all.
