GM's thread about nothing (62 Viewers)

Yesterday I took my oldest to see two plays. Watched 20 minutes of soccer and missed (as in never occurred to me it was on) both semi-finals. Today I'll be working a ten hour day volunteering with a bunch of broads.

Should probably just turn in my man card.

:kicksrock:
Pretty sure they'll have NCAA next year and maybe even the year after that. You don't get a second chance at the things you did yesterday with your kids, but you know that already. Good luck today!
My 15 y.o. hair dyed earring wearing fashionista son just confessed to having had a gf for three months. She's got blue hair but #### it I'm just happy she has a uterus.amiright GM?

Seaking of virgins, when I first moved to Portland I stayed in a hotel by the airport for a week. The small convention center next door held a Star Trek convention one weekend and being bored out of my mind I wandered over. Wow. Didn't stay long but drank at the hotel bar with some of the attendees later. Also slept with a woman named Tang that night. Actually true.
krista and Bob go to Star Trek conventions just to hand out red star fleet shirts to attendees. Fact.

I don't get it.
The people on Star Trek have different uniforms based on rank. The people in the red one always gets killed.

Sadly I know this. Mrs. SLB and myself were watching Star Trek The Next Generation all buzzed up and making fun of it many years ago. The next thing we know, we're hooked on it. :bag:

Both of my boys stayed at their Grandmothers last night and my lady went out with some girls from work... so what do I do? Drank beer in the garage until my Dad called me up and wanted to drink whiskey all night. We drank whiskey at the Prairie Bluff Golf Course (Hi Limpy, that's near you right?) and then we drank whiskey at the Moose Lodge and then we drank whiskey at his house. Was a good night.

It even has a Wikipedia entry.

Very cool actually. I'm the only immediate family member of mine aside from my son who lives in my state, so I don't get to do that. Wish I could go finish off a bottle of scotch with my father when I wanted to.

Just filed my taxes and TurboTax assessed my risk of being audited as "Medium". I think I did everything right, but I am getting a whole heckuva lot of money back, so... :oldunsure:

You delete threads pretty quick here, huh? This is the customer service line I assume. You have a direct line to the boss? Am I mistaken?

My apologies, oh I'm sorry. Write this down quick. My apologies. Give that to the boss.

My old man has had a brisket on his BGE for 13 hours and counting. Gonna be a good day.
The brisket was a solid first effort; my dad probably trimmed a little too much fat from it. The bourbon pecan pie was good, too.

And my brother brought over a bottle of Willett Pot Still Reserve. Very nice.

Now that's a good night of eat and drink. Bourbon pecan pie sounds light and airy. ;)

I ran 7 miles today and don't feel like death. This vodka water is going down easy....sun is finally back out in Portland. Warming up tomorrow to the 70s. Still have that 40 of Old E singing to me.
