GM's thread about nothing (25 Viewers)

Let's move beerhole to Cincy and paint the #### out of Shuke's house.
In. I love painting.

Work is really slow right now, so I'm thinking I can sneak in a long hike tomorrow morning. 'ninja/Drifter/roverfish/others, any suggestions on a moderate hike we could do? I'm thinking 2000-3000 elevation gain, length doesn't matter (that's what she said). I'm running out of "new" options close by as we've done many of the usual suspects, but I don't want to do Mount Si until next week.

ETA: Want to do one tomorrow, one Saturday and one Sunday, which is why I'm getting desperate for new ideas. Sat/Sun I don't mind driving a bit to get there, but tomorrow am hoping to stay within an hour or so.
Have you done Rattlesnake Ridge yet?

I have not done Ebey's landing and Deception Pass on Whidbey island but have read good things if you don't mind a bit of a drive and ferry. Might be nice as you can check out Mukilteo on the way, which is a nice little town.
We've done Rattlesnake Ledge a couple of times and that, along with Oyster Dome, has been my favorite hike so far. We're going to push past the ledges and go all the way to the East Peak tomorrow.

Today we ended up with West Tiger 3. I'd avoided it due to crowds but figured on a Friday at 6:15 a.m. it wouldn't be bad, and it wasn't (was packed by the time we left, though). Really well-kept trail and a nice enough hike for something close to the city.

We haven't done Ebey's Landing/Deception Pass but I will put it high on my list of stuff for a weekend, when we can add a little more driving/ferry time. Maybe Sunday.

What kind of a grown up drinks Coke?
you have a fascinating belief system with regard to food & beverages. I would like to peruse your newsletter.
You guys still eat Cookie Crisp too?
I don't drink much Coke/Pepsi these days, but I don't consider it a kid's drink. Mixes pretty well with booze.
If you are mixing your alcohol with soda pop you should probably just stick to wine coolers or Purple Passion.

GM is starting to sound a little Tannery

Look, everybody! The guy who staggered around in his underwear with a bottle of BBQ sauce is gonna lecture us on mixers!

Henry, you're doing great work in that religion thread btw. Normally they turn into crazy conservative vs matuski within 2 pages.
Oh, thanks. I keep thinking I'm derailing it... given that some of the religious keep saying I'm talking about the wrong thing and then leaving.
I mean to respond, but then the thread goes on 50 tangents, I finally get home from work, and I can think of 30 things I'd rather do than venture in there.

I like feisty beverage GM

I just ordered a chromebook for myself. Everyone else in my family has ipads so I figure I need to get myself something. Pretty excited.
which one?
The Acer c720. Refurbished on Amazon for just $150 with free shipping and it has great reviews. Couldn't pass it up.
was just looking into getting one of these myself and was looking at that one. so cheap. would be nice to have for travel.

Bought my wife one a year or so ago. Works pretty well for her needs.

If you are using the term "soda pop" you should probably increase the girth on the toys you're buying.

That's what it's called.

at what age are GM's sons going to be given the talk?

No more pop, pancakes, or fruit juice once you turn 8 years old.

I am a little torn on what to do with all the 'trimmings' I bought the other day. Bulk of the 420 world suggests making a butter first, then using that butter for cookies or brownies. Wonder if there is some manly man food items I can make as I'd like to avoid type II Wilford Brimley. Quiche?
