GM's thread about nothing (20 Viewers)

Anyone have food recs for Denver? Nothing fancy, just good food. Burgers, Mexican, Chinese, Pizza, Prime Rib, etc. I'll PM Drifter when I am not on my phone.
I forget the name of the place, but I'm sure there are a couple of dozen serving an avocado pork burritos. :moneybag:

I went to some really good food places when I was in Denver visiting my brother when his kid was born. I don't remember any of their names, but it was fun to rent bikes.

Met back up with Ignoramus and his crew for drinks during the World Cup and it was his turn to be super awesome. Bought all my bourbons and beers and they even offered me one of their tickets to the Reds game (one of them would have skipped it). Super great people, would cornhole again, A++++++

La Loma off of Speer and just west of I-25 (Just west of downtown) is my favorite Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The green chile is top notch.

"I took PTO all of the week of July 14, 2014 as well as Monday, July 21. Patty and Eric have graciously covered my deals while I am gone next week, and all the TDs with whom I'm working were also aware of my impending absence. I was available by phone or email in case of an emergency next week."

Hit send?
I didn't see the background to this but I agree with you.We now have two offers on our house, both above the asking price. One is an investor. The other is a family that we kinda sorta know second hand. Investor has offered $2500 more but I'm pretty sure that we are selling to the family. Such sentimental suckers.
It was a Phil from the Future joke. :kicksrock:

(Unless they're both offering cash, I'd probably go with the investor not because of more money but because of more certainty of closing.)
Could easily argue the other way. The family is probably much more emotionally invested in the home. If there is an issue and Bentley doesn't want to fix it, they probably will just do it themselves since they really love the home. An investor may just say #### it and move to the next property.
This is exactly what our realtor told us. Better chance of the family closing.
Think you both missed the bold. I was assuming the investor didn't have a financing condition and the family did. #### emotion. If they're equal on conditionality, then I would go family.

5 episodes in on True Detective and totally hooked. Also hooked on reading a page or two of the thread after I watch each episode. It truly is the worst thread ever. The number of responses that are just "WTF" or "Did you actually watch the show" is mind boggling, and all the Gekko insanity is gone.

They're both financing. Investor is putting more down but there's a bank involved with both. Investor raised his offer. Now $6800 difference between the offers. The bold would have made sense if it was written "if the investor is offering cash and the family isn't..."

Do they both have letters from their banks indicating that they are cleared for the loan?

Where be that Lazy Man's Italian Beef recipe?

Tomorrow and Friday we're having the accent wall in the master bath and WC painted plus the extra room and bath painted. I suggested to Mrs. SLB that she go downstairs to see what paint we had left from phase 2 of the job since there was plenty of it. She objected to this and started going through the paint swatch cards. She selected three colors for the four different area. Two of the "new" colors she choose are what we used in other areas already and we have almost a gallon of each.
Put a price tag on the old cans, walk out the garage, carry them in through the front door and proudly give her the new cans of paint.
:lmao: Well done, sir!
:lmao: Dang, I'm slow lately.

Mrs SLB is getting new cans?
She has mentioned that she would like a lift or something.
Lady raiders talks of this from time to time. The appointment with the boob doctor is sobering both in $$$ and in exactly what the slice and dice will entail. A lift will get you perkier #### that May or may not be even. You will also have what I refer to as anchor boobs. A circular scar around the nipple, cause they remove it :X . A scar from the bottom of the nipple through the underside of the breast, with a half circle scar forming the bottom of the anchor where the breast meets the upper stomach. Oh and she may or may not lose all sexual sensitivity in her nipples. A major drawback for lady raiders. :D

Really good boob jobs are rare, most feel like boulders. Might look good, but feel awful.

Son of a ##### it was already in my spreadsheet.

I WAS TOO LAZY TOO LOOK!

Thanks Strykes.

I have decided to purchase two tickets to the futures game and celebrity softball game this Sunday and take my son because even though he's only 4 this is something I should take him to and also I can't afford tickets to anything more fun on all-star weekend ($25 for this, HR derby $156, AS Game $300, Fanfest sounds like torture).

I know, I'd rather be at beerhole too, but I got a thing on Saturday.

Need to start thinking about what you guys want to eat/drink for tailgating. As of now I have some homemade Polish sausage and kraut to grill. Would anyone prefer something else? I'll get some other tailgatey type food like potato salad. Suggestions welcome.

Beer? I'll get a few 12ers of some local brew. Any favorites or types people will want? I think Tre and Guster are bringing their own bourbon but I can pick up other booze if that's your thing.

Let me know what you want for food/booze and I'll get a list going. Would like to have said list ready by the 4th so I can shop that week.
Miller Lite

High Life

Bud Select (eeew, but it's for SLB and Pepper)

Various New Glarus

Various other beers

(you guys are on bourbon/whisky)

One 16oz bottle of water to share

TF Bags of ice

Homemade Polish Sausage and kraut

Pork loin bites wrapped in homemade chorizo and bacon

One chicken breast (SLB does pepper want marinade or BBQ sauce or what?)

Potato and macaroni salads

Doritos/chips/pretzels

Big dice

Big Jenga

Cornhole

Going shopping tomorrow. Any other requests/requirements?

Seriously, totally buying tickets.

Speaking of totally, my wife sent me a text today where she meant to write totally but whatever she wrote autocorrected to orally. Completely changed both the meaning, and my reaction, to the text.

I broke my smartphone screen a few days ago and went to look at new phones. The guy at the verizon store was trying to sell me on the galaxy 5 and was demonstrating OK Google, which I guess is their version of Siri. So he asks a bunch of questions like how do I get to the stadium where the Red Sox play, and what's the capital of uruguay, and what's 42 times 17. And he's so proud of himself and his demonstration that he doesn't notice this: https://www.google.com/search?q=42+times until I start laughing. Now I feel bad for laughing and I feel a little bad for not buying a phone after he hustled like that but I really didn't have anything else to say to the guy.
