GM's thread about nothing (58 Viewers)

gllll today, Leeroy and Mrs. Jenkins
Thanks. She changed her mind and canceled the version. Before doing so she said it was as if I was trying to talk her into it. When I got home she felt she made a mistake canceling it and that I should have supported her in doing it. We talked it out and everything is good. No version today. She is just scared of surgery and the aftermath being cloudy instead of enjoying the new guy.

George or Max now.
Too many Max's. Harrison FTW
Harry would be cruel given my leg hair genes.
Harry is a great name. Wanted to name Dylan that after his Mrs. SLBs Dad but she wanted something more Irish. Now his best friend from down the street is named Harrison. Funny how that works.

Picking thorn up from the airport! It's starting! :excited:
Can you text me as to where you guys will be tonight?

I'm going to try and get there. DaughterPack wants to go with me, so if Homer isn't going to be there, I might bring her along, unless that'll be a buzzkill....... Hell she drinks better than I do nowadays. :bag:
So DaughterPack wants to go with you to see a bunch of drunk weirdos from the internet? There better be a shot video with her singing while Thorn is dancing.
She would totally do this.

"Hold me closer tiny poster"

The COO at one of our largest clients wrote to our CEO that I had been rude, threatening and unprofessional in conversations this week with their CFO. (Aside - I'm trying to work with them on a payment plan on past due invoices, their financial disaster has been all over the news. Once they file for reorganization we'll only be paid on current ongoing services so time is of an essence.)

Apparently the sensitive little putz forgot I always preface my conversations with the standard we are on a recorded line, et al. We sent the wav files; apology accepted in advance.

Another win for Milos!

ETA: this doesn't do justice to the amount of fun we had over this

Did you know that when you schedule a taxi to pick you up in my town, the appointed time is "really just an estimation" and "in no way guaranteed."
No way that Austin taxis go all the way out to the sticks.

We also had a bit of family drama last night. We are at the beach with Angrywife's family and I think she reached the point where she's had enough of them. Many f bombs were dropped last night.

Happy Anniversary!
Note to self, never go to Austin with lady raiders and any in laws.

:lmao: You know how to take reservations... /George Carlin
En route!
:goodposting: Seriously digging the train
Love the train!!!! My niece and nephew are staying with us this weekend and have never been on a train, so we're gonna go on a ride just because.

Congrats on the offer, Bentley.

Sorry bout the wife, Abe.

Best of luck to those of you dealing with anxiety. I used to have it pretty bad, still occasionally have some issues, but overall much better.

I still have no ####ing clue who Dan Gladden's Mustache is.

My dad is a train enthusiast. I will have to let him know my best iBuddies are now train lovers. When I was younger, we took a train from Denver to Boise. Never will forget it. Went through tunnels that took 40 minutes to clear. Best way to see the country, IMO.

Bad timing all around for me getting to Beerhole this year. Too bad there won't be another one in Milwaukee at the end of September when I am actually there. :kicksrock: Have fun all and wrap it up. ;)

Well, there's only one person I've found in this thread who says "grazie" when people explain things for him.

Part my walk with the boys in the morning is up to around their school. There isn't a reason for this other than with all of the construction with the new highway, there isn't a lot of places to walk where I feel safe having them that close to the street. At the end of last year we got gift cards for all of their teachers and principal. Pretty standard for most if not all of you I'm guessing. It occurred to me when we were down at the lake that I forgot some really important people, the custodians. So I e-mailed the principal and told him I would like to buy them lunch, whatever they liked. Thankfully they made it easy on me and settled with Pizza Hut. I made sure there was enough where they would each have plenty to bring home as well. I'm not posting this as LOOK AT ME!!! as much as a PSA that you might want to remember the ones behind the scene that you never see at parent teacher conferences but are important. As somebody that worked in a dirty warehouse for many years, I remember well what it felt like to feel like a forgotten one.

Today when we were up there, a couple of the custodians were driving to the store I guess and spotted us. They pulled the car over and said hello to the boys, each by name, and my boys knew their name too. Then they both sincerely thanked me for lunch.

One of the best things to happen to me in awhile. I'm probably going to be really drunk the next 3-4 days so Beerhole® is coming JIT.
Love you, GB. Your heart is bigger than most. Maybe all.
