GM's thread about nothing (40 Viewers)

Spent the morning kayaking again. It's the 6th time I have been out this season. My goal is at least 9 times. Just so relaxing, but not at all cheeky like SLB's pre-Beerhole adventures.http://img.ly/zu7mhttp://img.ly/zu7o
Very thumb wow up.

Kellen tried some kayaking in Michigan and loved it. Do they make inexpensive starter level kayaks or is this a high tax bracket luxury item?
You can buy used kayaks on CL pretty cheap. I recommend renting and trying it before you decide to commit. ****'s and other places have less expensive kayaks. I don't have a super high end one, but it cost $600 7 years ago and it's 12 feet. I just like getting out on the water and you can get a pretty decent upper body workout if you go out longer. I did 8-9 miles round trip and my arms were burning. No current in the water I was on and it still felt like a real workout. Gotta consider SPF 100 sunblock on the water my pasty friend. ;)

When I wake up on a Sunday morning and there are likes from something I posted and thought was funny but was completely ignored when posted, I feel like a humor ninja.
How do you know when someone likes something that you post? I mean other than scrolling back to see
There's a notification. Upper right of every page has your notification bar - there should be a red balloon with a number if you have new likes.
What in the world are you talking about?

Someone has to push the like button first.

some of us get notifications whenever somebody likes a post we've made.

under 'my settings', click on 'notification options'

and then check the box for 'notify me when somebody 'likes' my posts'

I use SPF 100 when I go get the mail. Maybe I'll try a burka if I get one of these. But my son is the one who is really interested, so maybe we'll look at one for his BD.

Thanks. Looks like a blast.

Get to drive 2 hours to take my sons to a slightly religious, week-long summer camp. And then I get to turn right around and drive 2 hours home. Slap it....in the balls?

Sounds like you might have some issues with your form. The main power should be coming form your back and shoulders. If your arms are getting too tired you aren't twisting enough on your strokes (that's what she said).

I'm not exactly in open water most of the time. I do a lot of mangrove trails and a normal stroke (giggle) is not possible. I feather my paddle around 30-45. Shoulders and back are usually pretty beat too after doing those trails. Appreciate the advice though. I do want to do more open water, but maybe next season.

Abdominal swelling, distention or bloating//check

Diarrhea//check

Discolored urine and stool//nope

Fatigue//check

Headache//nope

Itchy skin//nope

Joint pain//nope

Loss of appetite//nope

Malaise and lethargy//check

Nausea with or without vomiting//@ 4am the night of. Incredibly rare for me

Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice)// extreme ginger skin makes this hard to deduce.

50%. Yay booze!!

the abdominal pain is what bothers me the most too. mine is dull pressure/ache more than pain. all along my diaphragm especially on the right side. puking may have something to do with it though. i've puked maybe 5 times in the last 20-25 years

How can I say this politely without coming across as an alarmist? That's right - I can't. DO NOT #### AROUND WITH THIS.

Because I thought I had a "cold"( pressure) in my chest for longer than I want to admit without having it checked out. I caught the cancer in my breathing utensils.
