The D is a good value. Golden Gate was built in 1906; their phone number was 1. Actually actually true. They have also constructed a mini-tower of suites in back. If you're willing to peel off $100/night, they are pretty cool. They are owned by the same guy, so there is some cross-promotion.Two night at Four Queens, three nights at the Plaza.Where you staying?Twenty days out. Time to start practicing. You in Vegas, Kev?How do the two compare? I've stayed at The Fitz( The D), Nugget, and Golden Gate.
The D is the best value IMO
Nugget is great but sometimes their prices are oddly inflated.
Golden Gate is a dump of a hotel. Love the casino but the rooms were terrible.
I told my folks the only place I would let them stay downtown is the Nugget.
To answer your question, the 4Q rooms are small, roughly Motel 6 quality, but clean. They also have no resort fee, which makes them the last holdout I'm aware of. The Plaza is recently remodeled with furnishings from the Fontainebleu fiasco. Will report on those. Most importantly, I'm paying a grand total of $25 for all five nights. It may have come up that I'm a bit of a tightwad.
Yep.
you, GB. You're one of the best.
