Greatest Video Game Draft 2011 (6 Viewers)

The Pac-Man ghosts were going to be my backup pick if Fontaine got sniped a few rounds back.

I had about 5 villains I was debating on. Joker's performance in B:AA was one of the most memorable since GLaDOS. I can't put together enough clips to do that game justice. You just have to play it.

I can be bribed for villain ideas.

Always liked the old game but the new one is revamped and more difficult puzzles. Good times.

Nice team.Strong all over, save for arcade. I think you really reached for that NBA Jam pick in round 4. Probably more for personal favorite than anything. I liked it, so you might luck out there a little (I haven't really looked at the list yet), but I suspect there were probably far, far better choices available then. Still, part of the fun of these drafts is having your favorites, so I can't fault you much there.

 
Wish we could have a best video game joke so i can pick the Madden Ambulance from the early 90's version, that was effin hilarious always

 
24.10 Lost Odyssey - RPG

My favorite RPG in a long time. The gameplay goes back to the classic JRPG, the graphics are current generation. The music, sound, and story are all fantastic. The use of publish worthy short stories over the course of the game to learn the back story of the main character is brilliant. I can't stress it enough, the short stories are some of the best literature I have come across.

I picked NBA Jam where I did because I believe it went 3rd round in the previous draft. I didn't factor in that they had to pick 3 sports games, so they were a premium, so I guess it may have been a reach. It's still considered a top 10 arcade game by some, so I'm not worried. If I don't win the category, it's not a big deal.

This title was the launching title for the PS3 and the game i was jealous of not being able to play since i was an Xboxer

25.02 I take Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (xbox) Flex

Game was the 2004 game of the year by all game review mags and sites that matter. Splinter Cell has never come close to making a game this well since then which is sad

 
25.04 - The King of Kings: The Early Years - NES - Worst Game

It features three games in one and starts off at the 18:20 mark in this video. Warning, there is bad language.

. The one that is beyond bad and is broken is "Jesus and the Temple" at the 19:55 mark. Its a ripoff of Mario 2 that fails hard. These 3in1 games are not just horrible, but are Bible games. I highly recommend watching the whole video just for a good laugh.

You don't like the AVGN? It's just a character. He's so much funnier when he's not in character, actually. But that's what his fans want from him.
 
I'm not sure how many of you are FPS/TPS fans but I love me some Gears of War 2. As I was looking for the video to my "Worst Game" that I lost, I got side tracked and found some good GoW2 stuff.

Here's a video that displays how GoW2 is played when you are doing well. This is not my video and I don't "know" these guys, but I have faced them amny times and its always a entertaining and competitive match.

My wife kept swearing that I had Gears when I was doing the main character test on her. "I specifically remember you playing that game. There were a team of 3 or 4 guys and sometimes you guys would split up and take different paths and there were big monsters and you had this gun you had to fire in the sun. I remember! You have that game! I swear you do!" lol gotta love her.

side-scrolling beat 'em up based loosely on the legend of King Arthur that was an Arcade machine and SNES game made by Capcom. Featured an experience-point based level advancement system (like an RPG).

Love this game, have played it hudnreds of times, but just can't beat the whole thing (I can get to level 7, though)...

In the seconds video, they decide as a team in Guardian(protect your leader gametype), to suicide on the map Tyro Station. This map feature a giant train that rolls through every 20 seconds. The next round, one guy didn't get the unspoken memo that it was a one time thing. So he runs to the train tracks again and gets squished all alone while his teammates stand next to it laughing. :thumbup:

never heard of him before. His lines he thinks are hilarious are just not like this one "The sounds in this game are worse then listening to your only infant child choke to death on his own vomit, i would rather hear by only child choke on vomit then listen to this games sound"Not even remotely funny and I like shock humor usually

Ill say this. This is one of the smoothest drafts I have been in. The fact that interest is waning in the 24th round is commendableNice job running it madshot.Now lets go. I have two characters left to pick
 
24.04 Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

A Wii re-imaging of the classic first Silent Hill game. Featuring a very well implimented Wiimote is a flashlight mechanic to aid in exploring.

Also interesting about this game is that, unlike previous suspense/horror games ilke the past Silent Hills and Resident Evil, your character NEVER gets a weapon in this game. No matter how terrifying the monsters are, no matter what happens in the game, you never have anything to fight back with, you are alone and defenseless...
