The TD's are hit and miss. I'd much rather see 6 catch games for 80 yards than 2 catch games for 22 and a touch.Only 2 of thos games are really bad.

Great, so you're drafting Jennings as a top 5 WR hoping that Finley gets injured again?...and once Finley was gone and Rodgers could no longer zero in on him, Jennings averaged 98 yards for the rest of the season. Do you believe Steve Smith (Car) is/was the suck too?

I don't remember the rush the draft him top 5...Over the past couple of years, who was taking him ahead of White, Fitz, CJ, AJ, and Wayne...add in Moss and those who favored Colston, and Austin and Sidney Rice going into 2011, etc...? You are ripping a guy for putting up 1300+ yards in a season who most likely was taken in the WR7-10 range at best in 2010. In regards to Finley, a guy who had multiple surgeries to fix a torn meniscus in 2010 and missed time the previous year due to another knee issue...I may bet against him; regardless of whether he can beat up Chuck Norris.Great, so you're drafting Jennings as a top 5 WR hoping that Finley gets injured again?...and once Finley was gone and Rodgers could no longer zero in on him, Jennings averaged 98 yards for the rest of the season. exactlyRemember, Jennings was the forgotten guy in the offense early into the season and a little after Finley's injury. Unless Finley gets injured again last years numbers don't mean anything to this year.
I see this point, but you all are making it sound as though Driver will not be one year older and that Finley took a vacation and did not have to get carted off the field. Though Driver got injured, he did not produce jack when Finley was out (his first five games equal his last eight). James Jones may not be retained, so the balls have to go somewhere whether Finley is back or not.exactlyRemember, Jennings was the forgotten guy in the offense early into the season and a little after Finley's injury. Do you watch football? I promise you wouldn't be calling Jennings overrated if you actually watched all the packers games and saw how Jennings actually played. His fantasy stats may drop with Finley in there, but, that has nothing to do with him as a WR. Stats dont always tell the story.Perhaps the first five games last season when Finley was unstoppable? I will say, it was pretty clear Rodgers favorite target was Finley when he was in there. But, I dont really think that says as much about Jennings, as it does about Finley. I think Finley would be the NO.1 target just about anywhere he goes.Unstoppable? LOLFinley played 4 games last year:Perhaps the first five games last season when Finley was unstoppable? It would depend on league type. PPR, i tend to agree he would fall in the 7-10 range. Non-ppr, i would put him in the 5-8 range.I agree with a lot of the sentiment that Jennings numbers will go down a little but I watched a few of those games and thought that Rodgers was too locked into Finley. I expect a more balanced offense this year like we saw towards the end of last year and also think both will be great producers fantasywise. I would not draft Jennings as a top 5 WR but off the top of my head think he would fall between 8-10 in my rankings.
So Jones is a hurdle but Jennings is not?As a guy who will be targeting Rodgers again this season, I'd rather take Jordy Nelson as my WR3/4 somewhere at or after rd 8, rather than Jennings as my WR1 in rd 2. If James Jones does indeed skip town, I think Nelson is the GB WR to have going fwd.
gameplanning, but I can see why you would eliminate it as well...doesn't really change anythingWhy is week 5 added to Jennings game logs? Finley was was carted off the field after the Packers' 2nd offensive play.
noWant to include the Cards/Packers playoff game from '09?
Too high or too low?two different writers for CBS have Jennings ranked as the #4WR.![]()
Keep in mind this is a 16-team draft and he's being selected in the WR6-10 range.'Jeff Pasquino said:So a Top 12 WR in 3 of the last 4 seasons, including 2010, isn't worthy of a second round pick. Okay....I will play along. He's still the #1 target for one of the best - if not the best - passing offense in the NFL. He was the top target the past three seasons for the Packers - all seasons with J. Finley. As Finley matured in 2009, Finley passed Lee for the top TE status and he was slated for the #1 TE by a wide margin last year, but expecting his targets to come at the expense of Jennings doesn't sound right at all.Greg Jennings - why is everybody so in love with this marginal talent? If he wasn't catching balls from the best QB in the game, would we still be overrating him? He had 6 games less than 55 yards last year...SIX. Further, check out his average when Finley was playing. Finley is a superior talent and Jennings will once again be overrated. Jennings owners got lucky last year when Finley went down...don't bank on it again. Jennings is a marginal talent on a good passing offense.
You say to check out his numbers when Finley was playing. Fine.
Finley played the first 4 games. Targets were:
Jennings - 26
Finley - 26
Driver - 26
Jones - 16
Nelson - 9
After that point, the next 12 games:
Jennings - 97
Finley - 0 (Quarless 32, Lee 10)
Driver - 60
Jones - 71
Nelson - 55
So Jennings averaged 6.5 targets and right at 25% of the targets for the Top 5 targets over the first four weeks. For the next 12, Jennings had 8 targets and 30% of the targets for the top four WRs and the TE position. Hardly a huge difference. If anything, Finley's targets went mostly to the other 3 WRs, especially Jones and Nelson, who had been representing about 25% of the action before Finley got hurt and then had 39% of the targets combined after he went down.
I'm just fine with selecting the top target and a consistent Top 12 WR at the back end of Round 2. I would have been fine selecting Finley there as well.

so what happened at the beginning of last season?Finley has never been in full effect. A game here or there is not full effect. It will take him half a season entrenched at least to really show the true impact on Jennings. That said, I don't think Jennings will suffer that badly or at all. Jordy Nelson and Swain are the ones in trouble. Finley and Rodgers ability will exploit every opportunity that Finley's size and speed provide. The defensive shift will open things up for Jennings. Whether High, Mid, or Low other teams will have to choose who to focus on and the Packers will be best served with balance.

I agree here.but even with Finley healthly he's still a 1000 yard 8 TD WR.
