being reported several places. Saying it's not the foot but that his knee swelled up, today was set to be the only day he practiced and all indications until now had been positive. This is a surprise and very frustrating. On the bright side, if this knee thing is nothing serious, maybe an additional week off will get him close to 100% with the foot.

I owned Nicks for 2 years previous to this....drafted Cruz this year and will NEVER own Nicks again. Dude is never healthy.
this sucks. when and how did he develop a knee injury? this lookes really bad. i have never heard of him having knee problems in the past. minor knee injuries dont just pop up out of nowhere making a guy doubtful on friday. id bet this is a lot more serious than initial reports are indicating.

I'd have to imagine that it's Barden after last weeks performance. Grabbing him in my league where I own Nicks. Not sure if I'll start him or not though.

often if you are babying/favoring one of your feet it can cause you to get knee pain in the opposite knee how ever that alters your natural gait etc).

This is exactly the reason Thursday games SUCK! I could have used Anquan, based on the fact that I have no one else to use (and he has blown them up in the past), but since this news came out on Friday the Thursday game is already over! And also, most leagues rosters will lock up after the first game starts so you are SOL there if you could have picked up another guy

You do know that the players make extra from playing Thursday games. TV contracts rule the sports world. Football is a business....they don't care about your fantasy team.

Sure, and the players do, too. I bet the money generated from a prime-time Thursday game is x2 or x3 times that of another 1:00 or 4:00 Sunday game. That's especially true since those games are on the NFL channel and requires either cable or satellite TV to even watch the game. That doesn't come cheap. That money goes in the pot that the players get a part of. If they didn't want it, they should have brought it up during recent negotiations.As a fan, I like being able to see another game in prime-time, live.

Not so sure of that. Hixon may be above him on the depth chart and the more physical Eagles corners present a greater problem than the rookie from Carolina that played 10 yards off all game.

If Goodell was smart, he WOULD think about fantasy teams. FF is a huge boon to the popularity and interest (thus income) of the NFL. I'm not saying Thursday games are going to cause everyone to quit FF, but making it less fun will cause less interest from the very casual fan. Probably meaningless in the grand scheme but maybe not.

I'm not sure how Thursday games make FF less fun. If anything, it makes it more fun as it's just another chance to see your players actually play live (assuming you have the NFL network or go to a bar that does). If this were just another 1:00 or 4:00 Sunday game, I wouldn't have been able to watch my RB Rice *not* get in the endzone last night, and watch the guy I'm play against have his RB Richardson *actually* do it. Just gives us the next 2 days of additional trash talk with each of us having a player already go. I'd rather have it this way than have all the players go at the same time and only be able to watch a few of them, maybe.
What was your trade?I just offered Nicks and M. Bush to the owner of Eli and Forte ,for Chris Johnson and Antonio Brown.

Roethlisberger straight up. I have Griffin.I think Ben's going to have a great year, but pairing up Nicks and Barden for each other might be worth it. We'll see.
