Has TO gone crazy? (1 Viewer)

I still don't see how writing Carl Pickens, Eddie George or whatnot proves you were in the locker room with those guys. That is all. You said you have first hand knowledge, I questioned it. No need to get upset when you get called out.

And I gave you a response worthy of your 3rd-grade callout. Was I there on Sunday Morning taping Eddie's ankle? Of course not. But I spent a nice enough time that season at the practice facility and the front offices to see what was going on. Pickens came in and said the right things from day one, and the moment pre-season camp started he turned back into Carl Pickens. As a result, a variety of events took place that made Carl Pickens wish he'd never come to Nashville - he was more miserable there then in Cincy. Some people are never - EVER - satisfied.HERD

Those statements were based on the fact that SF knew they would get a #2 from Baltimore all along and if that is what they wanted, they should have pulled the trigger when the Eagles first offered them #5 and Trash - not hours after the fact - and not with asking for a counter. No reason to hold that up other than to string someone along.
I still haven't heard anyone from the Eagles speaking out that they were prepared to beat the Ravens' offer, no angry accusation that Philly would have been willing to give up its #1 if they knew that's what it was going to take.In his own words, SF's GM says that Baltimore's offer "clearly was by far and away the best deal that we got.”Bottom line, the Eagles decided to lowball the 49ers. Quite possibly all that time they spent negotiating with TO was to ensure that he would make a stink if SF dealt him anywhere else, thus scaring off other teams and softening the trade market even further. They gambled that they could get TO and keep their first-rounder. They lost. Now, in the face of a furious fan base that's been screaming out for a WR for three years, the Eagles are trying to put a good face on their inability to land one of the Top 5 WRs in the NFL and blame someone else for not getting it done.

You're absolutely right, that's not in question (nor do I hear anyone from the Eagles organization suggesting otherwise). However, if you think TO will be a good soldier in Baltimore when he is being asked to play for a defensive, run oriented team with a raw unproven QB, AT THE SAME TIME he's been seemingly duped out of $10-$15 million in guaranteed money, you aren't looking at the situation logically.I don't see the Birds as getting him, and as far as being an Eagles fan, hats off to them for trying. I'm just eager to see how long this maelstrom takes to rear its head in Baltimore now.
But if the Ravens throw a 2-year extension at him with a $15 signing bonus...he will be a happy man. I really don't think it's the fact that he's in Baltimore instead of Philly that has him mad. It's the fact that the Eagles were going to give him a new deal. Once he gets a new deal in Baltimore, he'll be content. Well, as content as TO can be.In Baltimore: 85 catches, 1200 yards, 10 TD's.

Fact is that Baltimore is one of the few teams that can handle this (TO's) tumultuousness. Worst case scenario is TO wont get right (and sure, thats possible) and holds out. Ok. Bal then loses the second rounder, while TO sits getting none of his current contract.Ray Ray, Billick and Newsome will get to TO one way or another to talk things over - the only question is at what price will TO sign a new deal. In the end, Baltimore has little to lose in his whole affair, and TO has a lot more to lose - and hes already cost himself plenty.

Thanks. I just needed spelled out for me because my 3rd grade brain doesn't function like the rest of people's here. Oops, my recess is over. Time to get back to penmanship.

David Joseph is, or was, his agent.

This gives every indication that the site is connected to TO.

Im a niner fan and can tell you, that IS his site, and that IS him posting on the message board. Why he types in that rediculous 5th grade internet shorthand is beyond me, but its definately T.O.I for one cant wait to get me a T.O. Ravens jersey! sweet.

I would expect his agent's malpractice carrier would be making up the difference in any case.

To answer the original question, yes, T.O. has gone crazy.....Now lets talk about something serious for a minute:Hey with Frank Sanders wearing #81 in Balt right now, does T.O. make him give it up, or does he go back to his college number, 80, since theres no Raven with that jersey number??? Obviously he couldnt use 80 when he came up due to Rice, so he took the next highest number. Im thinking he wears #80 next year.Just wondering cause the roster page on espn.com lists both Owens AND Sanders as #81, and I wanna get the jump on a jersey purchase.Ok, enough seriousness, we now return to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

What boggles my mind is why wouldnt Donahue come back and use the Raven's offer to try and get a better offer out of Philly?!??! He knew the Eagles wanted TO bad and could have used Baltimore's offer to try and negotiate more out of Philly. If he really was pissed that Philly low balled him then he defintely needs to go. His time as SF GM has been painful to say the least. But if he did this out of spite to TO and Philly, making this personal......................He may have costs the Niners a better compensation package for TO. :wall:

The 49er should have traded York and Donahue. The 49er used to be one of the best ran teams in the league and now they are one of the worst. I understand they had his rights and could trade him, but why give themself and the NFL a big headache.

More news:

T.O. tantrum Owens not going to Baltimore without a new contract Terrell Owens isn't going to the Ravens just yet. Appearing on The Best Damn Sports Show Period, Owens said he's furious a trade to the Eagles didn't go through, and he's not going to Baltimore without a new contract. "I’m really not happy with the situation," Owens said.

Welcome to the wonderful world of TO. He hasnt even been a Raven for more than a day and he's already alienating the organization. Good stuff. Beef, pass me some popcorn.
