This is the only story I have found so far on the internet but local TV stations are reporting that two students of middle eastern descent were caught trying to break into Heinz Field early this morning. According to the local news, the NFL has notified the FBI and all stadiums that are hosting home games this week will have heightened security.

Randle-El was trying to sneak back in to join the Steelers?

Racism.

Why, I'll bet there were 60 years old blonde grandmothers trying to break in, but the police were ignoring them.

Maybe they are Steeler fans.............

Are they Brown Univ students?

Somehow, I feel the Brown president will come out with a statement later today.

wasn't there a rumor a couple weeks back about a terroristic plot/attack against 10 NFL stadiums in major cities?

here's a simple security check for the games. Each person should have to name at least 3 players from the home team before being allowed in. if not, :bye:

PITTSBURGH -- Investigators said two local college students of Middle Eastern descent were caught trying to break into Heinz Field overnight around 2:30 a.m.

According to authorities, the two men tried to climb the walls around the stadium, but were caught on surveillance by two security guards who work at the field.

Both men were taken into custody.

State police, the local bomb squad and the FBI were all called to the scene.

Authorities alerted every NFL team of the break-in attempt.

The Steelers are set to take on the Denver Broncos today at 4:15 p.m.

Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper is planning a news conference at 10 a.m.

Good Morning!

Now kids... don't forget to be scared!

So now football fans have been spooked by some a couple of steeler fans and a packer fan. (Or were they Browns fans... could explain why they were sneaking in).

There's a big difference between being aware and being scared and it's adding the emotional component to it. It clouds your awareness and screws up your response.

I caught a few minutes of the press conference by the Chief of Pittsburgh Police. The two men are students at Carnegie Mellon University. They have muslim-islamic names but I didn't catch exactly what they were.

Apparently they had a folding chair with them and were attemting to scale the gate fence of Heinz Field around 2:30am. When caught they said they had tickets for the game (I guess they wanted to get in their seats early).

The police have the two men in custody and are searching their residence.

What's that joke about a white powdery foreign substance being found.....blah blah blah....its the goalline.

Thought this was that.

Stupid youth hijinx or something serious? It would suck if it were a serious issue.

I found this funny.

Sorry all, but I have to think this is a serious issue. How dumb would 2 young adults of fair skin color to try and sneak into an NFL stadium?

Though you would think terrorists could afford tickets ...

i dunno guys. It doesnt seem that serious to me when its mentioned that they were TRYING TO CLIMB THE WALLS! Unless one of them is Spiderman, I dont think this is a serious issue

Supposedly one of them is a film student and wanted to film the last segment of a music video (featuring the other guy) at Heinz Field.

Back when I was in college, pairs of men didn't hang around making films of each other, but I'm glad to see the college students today are so progressive.

------ This just in ------

Al-Qaeda operatives have struck again for the first time since 9/11

Apparently they have decided to follow-up the most calculated and devasting terrorist atack in history with a sneak attack on Heinz field involving two kids jumping the fence. Amazingly, they were seen...

More to come...

"Carrying a Weapon of Mass Destruction, aka a folding chair, the two kids planned...."Sneaky - so this was how Saddam got them past the inspectors...

Why can't there be an attack on Michael Irvin instead?

I'd let the kids jump the ESPN fence and storm in.

God, he's an idiot. "Parcells won't leave because if we doesn't win the superbowl this year, it's in the bag next year" more or less

This will prevent 64 percent of Falcons fans from attending any football games

In my last year of college we planted an evergreen tree in the middle of the 50-yard-line the night before the homecoming game. It was still there at 10 a.m. the next day.

Alcohol had nothing to do with this. :bag:

It was Mike Bell and Cedric Cobbs. They wanted to see what the end zones in Heinz Field were like before they returned to Denver.

I don't get it. Does it really matter that they were of middle eastern descent? If two people try to break into the stadium at night, they should be arrested. Period. Nothing else really matters unless evidence to the contrary is found.

If reported like that, it is sensational and scare tactic journalism at its finest.
