Hold on to those RBs (1 Viewer)

I've been looking around at the rosters in my 12-team league, and a ton of teams are really, really thin at RB - with very little out there on the waiver wire. WR, QB, and TE, on the other hand, are really deep and I see at least 3-4 in each position that can be plugged into lineups right off the wire.

Hold on to your RBs. I'm talking about Powell, Rodgers, Bernard Scott, Vereen, Ringer, Mendenhall, etc. Taiwan Jones - not so much - but you get the picture - these RBs are going to be gold in 6 weeks, and there will still be WW options available to fill holes at other positions. Just my $0.02.

I'll be grabbing a few of those guys for some of my 'meh' WR. It's a lot easier to find a serviceable WR than a serviceable RB. Specifically Powell (Greene is garbage) and Goodson. The others are all owned.

This is why I started off all of my leagues with 2 RB's, if a flex league picked up Doug Martin in round 4 or 5, then picked up 2-3 of Ryan Williams, LeShoure, Quizz, and Dwyer late.

RB is THIN this year, you can win with lesser QB's - I think it's going to be very difficult t win without top RB's.

So hold on to Ingram and Ryan Williams, you say?

(I also have Martin, Stewart, Tate and Donald Brown in this dynasty league.

Mentos, if you're bragging about those rb's in any league then you are delusional.

You have a decent #2. And a bunch of 3 and 4's. Thanks for sharing!!!

:goodposting: With everybody and their brother wanting a "stud QB" this year, loading up at RB/TE and waiting on QB for guys like RG3 or Cutler was the way to go in drafts that went too far that way. I also was planning on getting a stud QB, but they were way too costly this year after last year's record-breaking year.I expect teams to come knocking for RB's as they get tired of starting scrubs at RB.

Huh? I don't think he's bragging Chief. He's responding to the topic raised by the OP--lesser running backs may have value in a weak running back year. As opposed to your post, which would be an appropriate response only in a "Your Team Sux" thread.

Have D. Williams, D. Brown, A. Morris as my RB4, 5, and 6.

Only one I think I could even move is Morris, and I havent seen any interest.

I misread it then, I just can't imagine someone asking a legitimate question of "should I hold onto Ingram and R.Williams" in a dynasty leagur

Btw, the answer is yes :)

Especially if you're rebuilding. Which he has to be wit those rb's unless he has a top 3 qb, 3 top 20 wr and a very good te

:goodposting: The WWs are just filled with WRs who put up servicable-great points this week, its pretty crazy. You'd be lucky to find a RB who scored over 5 points however. I think this is a testament to how deep the WR position really is this year. I wouldn't go out of my way and drop an underperforming/lottery ticket RB right now for a WR unless he was one of a couple very specific ones.

After scanning through all my leagues WW's for RB's, there might be 2 really weak options at best pickups at this point...Larod Stephens-Howling (in hopes of Beanie getting hurt like he always does and Williams not panning out) and Mike Goodson/Taiwan Jones (Jones looked shakey last night and Goodson looked decent when given a try, but DMC is clearly the workhorse)

Hold ingram why --to waste a roster spot? He is As bad as vereen who i have been holding. Sorry but ingram is a huge bust in NOR seeing that Pierre Thomas and Sproles destroy any potential he has for foreseeable future.
